hello,
my nano 2g recently did started doing something strange.

the buttons work properly when i press them. I can click, turn the ipod on and off, but the touch wheel function does not work at all. if I slide my thumb, no result shows on the ipod.

troubleshooting actions taken: I reset the ipod, downloaded a new version if itunes, and restored to factory settings.

no applecare at this point. I am willing to replace parts myself if need be.

any info on similar problems is helpful

Yes that is the billion dollar question, more competition = higher prices? Go figure I think they need to rewrite those economics books. :rolleyes:

If I could get Apple's programmers to make one change, the first would be to bring back the handy method of choosing what application to open from a web address in email.

Used to be that if you wanted to change this, you option-clicked on the address, and a list of applications came up.

This is now gone, and I have no idea how to change the browser that is the automatic choice.

Others? What would you change?

I am wondering why my Ipod does this...every like 5th time i start it up, it tells me to reconnect to itunes and restore....and does not work unless i restore it. What the heck is going on?

I have a droid.(had iPhone on ATT but didnt get coverage at work/home) I payed an extra $100 to get the 1 year commitment in Nov 2009 just in case the CDMA iPhone came out a year later. Well it did come out a year later and my verizon contract was up. But I didnt get it because it was the same 8 month old phone and there is 0 chance I am going to get locked into a 2 year deal in january for a 8 month old phone that I wont be able to trade in until the June release 2.5 years later.

I'm surprised they are surprised.

I like iphones, but I am really considering a droid,
2 VZW droids release today the 3G Droid Incredibile 2 and Droid Charge LTE 4G both have unlimited data and allow up to 10 mobile hotspot connections and oh mobile hotspot is totally free and unlimited till june..... very tempting!

C'mon apple give us a LTE iphone for us folks in the big cities with LTE coverage!

Yes... it will probably break the JB... but that is your risk and your decision to JB. So, yes... my original post stands.
Except that I don't jailbreak my iPad. :p I do however work in an electronics repair shop, and we do jailbreaking/unlocking for customers sometimes. Apple is beating down the jailbreak community pretty well recently. It's a pain for me because it means lots of customers coming in complaining that their jailbreak/unlock is gone. ;)

I've been using an A4tech wireless 2.4ghz mouse (G6-70D), and its been working fine. Now all of a sudden it's frozen, although the little dongle light still lights up when i move the mouse, even the the pointer doesnt move.

Ive rebooted but no joy. The a4tech website doesnt actually say there is a mac driver but it has been working fine for a few days, now just stopped?

Any ideas?
