In our 485 notices, Under the section, it is stated as Unknown. priority date is blank. Please let me know if anyone is facing similar situation and what needs to be done to correct it?

I had the same issue.If it makes you feel better call USCIS and put in a service request.They will get back to you in 30 days.

I hear that any transfer of a visa to a different one, in your case from L1 to H1 need to go back to your home country for stamping. Please consult an immigration laywer for more details.

BUT, I am a beginner and am just trying to learn photoshop and do something useful at the same time.

The old I-140 is all valid. The only thing that you are taking is the date. When your new I-140 is approved and you interfile with I-485 then you request USCIS to take the new I-140 instead of the old one. Also if your new I-140 has problem at that stage (even after approval, some time it happens), still the old I-140 is valid.

HI All,

My H1 will expire by the end of October and my employer has applied for LCA on First week of Sept and it got denied. (the status on iCert shows as Denied). My employer has sent the FEIN Info and waiting for info from DOL.

I am not sure how long we will wait for DOL to respond back on this .. Do we need to reapply for LCS as i need to apply for H1-extn before end of October..

Could Pls some one suggest the best course of action..

Hang in there it takes 5 working days to get the LCA approved once you send the FEIN details.

Can anyone tell me how long it will take to receive card after receiving welcome email?

would the local office give you the generated no if you have not received the SSN card in the mail?

A good friend of mine is getting divorced with her husband. The husband is the primary employment based green card applicant and their dates are current.
Will her I-485 be denied after the divorce?
The husband is willing to wait till the green card is approved before the divorce.
If she gets her green card, will it be revoked after the divorce?

Even I am in the same boat... planning on a 3 week vacation to get the 1 year extension. Can you please update the thread with your case results? Did you take the vacation, and could you recapture it?

Just some hope. But if the trend maintains then they will have lesser pinch on the H1 processs. Hopefully that will help improve GC process as well.

If you will be getting any benefit in the volunteer position, such as experience in your profession, contacts, or other vocational benefits, I would not consider it appropriate H-4 activities. Even if you are not being paid a salary, you are getting a professional benefit and that is a reward.

pappu, ur link talks abt GC in EB-5 category. is the requirement of $1 mn investment a reqd condition for this? in other words, if an enterprise can generate jobs for 10+ US citizens by investing a lesser amt, is that valid for filing GC under EB-5 category?
