Take an Inpass Appointment and Meet local USCIS officer and ask for help... Letter or Duplicate EAD. If you have a Job Offer letter they Might expedite the EAD Request..

Obstacles to innovation in my community: I belong to the community of people who are in US on a work visa. Our main obstacle is the US laws themselves, because the present laws forbid us from doing anything on our own. If I wanted to make facebook, US laws would say, hey, go back home and come back on an EB5. Of course, we cant do that. So your laws are being ridiculous

I guess we should ask them to remove the employer's restriction, which is the prime reason for extreme exploitation. H1b should not be restricitive. IV should also address the same. We are looking at the current problem with retrogression only, but what about future aspirants who come on H1.


H1B quota and H1B related issues are not primary concern of this organization. Greencard retrogression is. It has been that way since the inception 18 months ago.

We have taken positions to make H1B more workable and have less restrictions on it regarding H1 extensions and H1 transfers and therby opposed major portions of Durbin-Grassley.

HOwever, right now is not the time to debate and have open discussion on flaws of H1B program.

This is distraction at minimum and ammo for anti-groups in worst case scenario. Please contribute, send webfaxes, make phones and provide live updates and save this discussion on H1B flaws for slower times.

Thansk visakk for your reply, I am travelling thru same employer only. He still wants me to come there. Looks like he is confident & is certainly going to give me Revised Offer Letter dated in Feb 2010.

However my main question is still unanswered whether the scenario is correct to travel, considering January 8 guideline issued by DHS/USCIS. And Subsequent Deportation incidents.

I have option to travel on L2 as well. As my spouse is having L1 visa and she is going to travel in March.

But I want to be on H1B, Pleasse enlighten me on this.

But I do not want to loose my H1B status, mean not to use EAD.It has been almost 1.5 year since I140 approved but I never work for the company who filed greencard for me. Does it matter? What is final solution to get greencard since company is closing.

Can you please tell me which service center is it? My I40 got denied from TSC and my lawyer is working on the appeal.
