I talked to Murthy about the same code but they replied that it is ok if the codes are different but the job duties matter which determine the code.

I have the following visa stampings F1(1998 Chennai), H1B(2002 Chennai), F1(2006 Matamaros) and am currently on H1B (not the 2002 company). Am I eligible for stamping in one of the border posts?

yes i think so since you have one previous h1b stamping from home country. BUT, you should always check the consulate website for latest rules and info.

I did received 3 same paper welcome notices !!!!
Next paper notice received contain GC.

I am trying to book an appointment for h1b visa stamping at the Chennai Us consulate for Nov 29th but I see no dates available for Nov 2010 for Chennai.

Ony calcutta dates are available.

Can I book an emergency appointment in this situation?

I have been on h1 for the past 3 years.First came to US in 2004.Visa expired in 2006.

Extended h1b here in USA..Now going to India for the first time after visa expiry.

Also, for the stamping, should i carry all old LCA's or just the latest one?

why is name check still an issue? I thought the Feb memo spelt it out in no uncertain terms.

I've visited the local IRS office again. A different official told that only passport is enough for a foreign national to get the ITIN number. The W7 form needs to be submitted with the tax filing documents.

You can change jobs. Make sure you (or your attorney) send the AC21 letter to USCIS before your employer revokes the approved I-140. If you do that, the revokation won't have much effect, otherwise you may get NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny).

I have similar issue, I have applied for the EAD renewal on May 18th and received the notice on May 24th. My EAD is expiring on August 18th, and still have not heard back from USCIS. I have called the USCIS on July 26th and opened a service request, but it got rejected asking me to wait for 90 business days. What are my options ?

a. Can I still keep working?
b. Should I quit my job?
c. Can I take unpaid vacation?

There are situations when a h1b transfer or extension is granted but the approval notice does not have a i 94 atttachment that adjusts your extension to stay till the end of your petition date. In such a situation, the benificiary has to go to his home country for stamping and then come back.

The best thing you can do in your case is to approach murthy's firm and get a paid consultation.

I thought in one of the recent memos it stated its the date when the application is mailed. I will try to dig it out.

I applied for renewal on May 19th. My EAD expires on August 23. So, I guess I'll have to follow your renewal process to see if mine will arrive in time.

Can you clarify if the following Sequence of GC Issuance PRocess is correct, once Approval process is going on .

1) Online LUD on Cases "Card Production Ordered" and subsequent Email.

2) Online LUD Change as "Welcome Notices Sent" and Emails.

3) Receiving the Paper WelcomeNotices (Are these Notices are deemed to be I485 approval notices ?? I have not yet received them)

4) Receiving the Cards.

Then What is "ADIT Processing" ? they mentioned in the Welcome Notices sent email.

Any Info or guidance from Peers is highly appreciated . :)
