Yes, friend. My I-140 was approved from TSC and also my I-485 is pending at TSC and since 'm currently in Indiana, I had (reluctantly) mailed at Phoenix. Hoping for GC before EAD (wishful thinking). Amen !!

The pay need not be exactly same. You can make more. There is no guide line. For example if you made 60K and now you have a job where you make 300K, then it would be hard to say it is the same kind of job.

Employees get yearly pay increase, or when they move they may make more. You need not have to say no if you get a pay increase. :)

Can anyone pls tell me what is the procedure for postponing one's fingerprinting appt. I am planning to travel outside US once I receive my receipt notice. Also, for how much time can the appt be maximum delayed..

I have not received my 485 and 140 , filing receipts . The documenst were mailed on 30 july to Texas Center. Anyone have any idea which the best way to get information on waiting time.

Recently multiple threads have been created in IV forum about
* Illegal’s (now conveniently called undocumented immigrants) * their anchor babies * and CIR.

We should not support Illegal’s and their agenda.

Support CIR only after seeing something for EB non-ROW or atleast legal immigration in general.
We need to oppose CIR till we see such a provision.

When it is piecemeal people say we want comprehensive reform.
When it is comprehensive reform they say it is too broad to pass .
When it is summer they say Immigration Bill be introduced as early as Winter .
When it is winter they say it immigration bill will be introduced as early as summer .
When it is between spring(between winter and summer) they say now there is not adequate support for the bill.

This is a clear motive of hanging immigration reform like a bone in front of the dog and making him run around it and pay taxes .

Guys,Please create an account in numbersusa, the nuse their fax page where you have to put in your login information to convey our message. You can use the first, last name and address to put in what we want. Like you could say, "this is a bunch of lies" for the first name, "H1 pay all taxes" for last name etc. Use thier own mechanism to defeat their purpose. Guys please do it. We can no longer remain quiet. Even if we have a favorable decision for us today we are still in the woods, anything can change in a few years.

a) When did you receive the AOS receipts?
not yet received. July 2nd filer

b) When did you hear about the fingerprinting and how?
mail from USCIS with a form I797c(notice of action) to go do FP

c) When are you expecting EAD or if you have received it, how long did it take?

not yet received

i remember someone posting right here in IV that they got their GC when PD was not current. USCIS later asked for the GC back cuz it was given in error.:) To make things worse the poor guy obviously didnt renew his EAD and couldnt work.

So even if you get GC out of turn, I believe the correct thing to do is to return it. Or it can be more problems.

Today at Boeing interview event I got very good offer. The HR lady congratulated me, kept offer letter in my hand. Then I told her that I'm an EAD holder. All my fear came true, and she said a big sorry and said EAD is not acceptable at any cost. Also she said, she can keep the offer in hold for me for 5 months. How can I expect green card in hand in 5 months. GOD don't give this situation to any one. just trying to reduce my pain here...

So lets understand this..
You joined someone on the promise that they will sponsor your GC with approved labor..
They kept their word and you are gainfully employed.. he's paying you and now you want to purely for your own benefit leave this benefactor and join another company..
So either you paid him before joining and hence feel entitled to this approved I140
Or
You are just too opportunistic and don't deserve this good guy who is doing as he says .. No wonder Desi consulting companies try to get as much leverage on their employees as they can.. guyz like you spoil it for everyone!!

After receiving GC do we have to report to SSN to change the SSN card but with same number. Existing card says work paper required.

Any anyone knows action item required after receiving GC then please post here?

Ppl do that; but I don't think it's a compulsory thing. Maybe it's good to remove one of the last traces of being non-immigrant in US ;)
