What is MI phone list?

They are maintaining list of people who called and from where? My friends called from Michigan. So they said they added it to the Mi phone list.

I didn't read the RFE but the lawyer said they have requested for Audited Financial Statements which my company does not have.

When my I-140 was filed, I was given the option to either provide 1. Audited Financial Statements or; 2) Company Tax Return.

As my employer didn't have audited financial statements, my company submitted the most recent company tax return with the I-140.

AHHHHHH! brain malfunction!! ..... kidding!

^Don't lie to him. Spyrl your going to need to remove your current DX9 card or DX10 card and put in a DX7 when your testing. lol i wasnt thinking at the time and only reliesed what i said later. (lol silly me)

I have a baby in US. We have applied for birth certificate and ssn. we plan to travel to india in December. I plan to apply for US passport once i receive DOB and ssn certificates. I have following Q's -

If baby has to travel to india, do i need PIO or OCI?
What is difference b/w two?
Can i simultanesously apply for PIO/OCI along with US passport?
What documents would I need to apply PIO/OCI along and US passport?
How long does everything take?

you can only apply for PIO and NY consulate issues it within 4 days (if you submit and collect in-person) or two weeks end-to-end if you apply by mail.

Yes, my I140 WILL be revoked. I'm on good terms with my previous employer and this is just something they will be doing to protect their interests.

This is a new strategy followed by consulting companies. As they cannot stop people from leaving, they would like to discourage this by revoking 140. there are so many scared people out there who want to play it very very safe and will avoid invoking ac21 if they think there could be issues.

Being in good terms with employers helps - but it has to be from both sides.

You can start working for Employer C as and when you have the receipt notice for C's transfer. Just make sure, you file for transfer before termination. You have all the documents that is required for H1 transfer, dont worry about it.

Hello All,

I am on a dependent EAD. I lost my job (laid off) few days back. Can I enroll for unemplyment benefits as i am reading the threads that dependents can enroll into UB. But just want to make sure before going forward. We are on I-485 pending status.

Please suggest.

My h1 is valid till Dec 2009. H1 stamping is expired in passport in Oct 2007.
My AP is approved. I am planning to travel in Jan 2008. Can I us AP to reenter in Feb 2008 and continue working on H1 or do I have to use EAD to work?

Since i work as a independent contractor i am not sure if i can complain to DOL.

I greatly appreciate if any one who went through this process can provide me a referral to a reasonable lawyer based in NJ in terms of fee and services .

I got I-140 RFE (EB2) for education as mentioned above I have 3 yrs education and 60+ months of experience and labour says BS or Equivalent Foreign degree with 60 months of experience.

However, the RFE says submit the evidence that it is equvalent to US 4 years degree 3 year Bachelor degree + if any other degrees. They also mentioned we do not want a simple evalutaion that has been done by private evaluators says it is equvalent to BS 4 years degrees. They want detailed explanation each degree and other diploma that is equivalent to US 10th grade, 4 years Degree by acceptable evaluator also include evalutor details.

I am in 6th year of H1B, donno what will happen. My company said it is simple RFE. Looking for other alternatives.......

get your own evaluation from http://www.wes.org/ or any other source, don't depend on company/attorney etc.

I have heard atleast 12-13 companies in this area have ICE audits...that may happen to any company in the near term.Let us safely assume to caution new consultants to skip this year's H1B

Can someone explain me what this processing date means?

Is it the Receipt date or the Notice date? Assuming you have a receipt date of July 2nd 2007 and Notice date as Aug 12th 2007, does it mean the 485 case has been processed and pre-approved assuming if no RFE is raised on the case.

You can apply starting 1 year prior to your expiry and all the details are available in the Indian Embassy websites.
