Found this while searching the website of the Senate Judiciary committee. Even though it is more than a month old, the references to SKIL bill in the hearing offers a glimmer of hope to us..As I understand the SKIL bill has been referred to the same committee for several months now.

i got a call from my employer stating that my 45 days later has coem (whether i want to continue with the green card process or not)
i called my lawyer to find out if the pepers have arrived which i need to sing and get signed from my employer and return ..and she has nto recived them
wat do we do now?
can we ask for another copy and how tp go about thsi process?

I am dependent on our GC application. We had provided initial Finger prints in July 2007. I got an FP notice in 2009 and have just received another FP notice for next week. Meanwhile, the primary applicant on our application has not recd any biometrics appt since the 07 initial set.
Is there anything to be concerned about?

Hi all,

I think my scenario is little complicated.I have my I140 (EB3) cleared with previous employer and my current company has filed new labor and I140 (EB2). They are trying to capture the priority date of my old I140 approval (August 2006).

While my current I140 is still going on, can I apply for I1-485 due to sudden improvement shown for EB2 category in September Visa bulletin.

Please advice.

I'm in the same boat...765 checks not cashed yet, rest got cashed on 9/20 and got the receipt numbers for 485/AP.
But still waiting on 765(EAD) cehcks to be cashed and receipt number.

i am switching employers and i have about 10k in my 401k with current employer. my next employer does not have the option to start 401k until after one year of service.i am looking for options to rollover my 401k to a IRA in a company. does anyone have any recommendations?thanks in advance

485 is your application, your emp does not have to pay; although if they do it would be nice :)

I am on H-1 and recently filed for my 485. After I receive an EAD in 6 or so months, am I eligible to go to school full-time while waiting for processing on my 485 application?

To continue your 485 processing, you should either join another company with a similar job or you should be able to join your existing employer once the I-485 is approved.
