Take it from ICICI Lombard Insurance. They have tied up with United Health Care. For 6 months it comes to some where around 10,000 to 15,000 rupees which is pretty cheap compared to US vistor insurance.
Only condition is insurance should be taken before you start from india.


SRI used to be good when they were SRI. Now it is merged with Sevencorners and they don't process claims well.

Indianetwork insurance is quite common with Indians but they take more than 5 months to process claims and they pay part of the claims.

I applied for H1B through a NJ based consultancy company for year 2010. I haven't got any receipt number though my employer claims to have fedexed my application on April 6th. Have u been able to get in touch with USCIS regarding your application. Pls update.

I think we should give an option for more than $100 too i.e. a blank field with a validation that it cannot be less than 20$. Also instructions should be given on how to cancel the monthly subscription. Also it should be agreed by the patrcipant that he won't ask for money back and in case he does that we should be putting rules around it such as administrative fees. This would make sure that the fees IV pays to paypal for transactions is taken care of.

My suggestions , doesn' mean that these needs to be implemented , also all those who sign of monthly with proven monthly of minimun 50$ should only be allowed to get into members only forum threads etc etc...again $50 is an example....

I received RFE today that says" your application contained form I-693 in which the required TB skin test was not conducted. Please note there may be conflicting information on some published form I-693 instructions regarding when the chest X ray Report should be performed. It is required only when the TB skin test indicates a reaction equal to greater than 5 mm, or when the reason for why the TB skin test is medically inappropriate to perform has been annotated on theform I-693. Please submit a newly completed form I-693 indicating the results of the required skin test.

On Form I-485 Part3 C list present and past membership in or affliation with every organization, fund.......If none, write "NONE" or include name of organization.....Provide your answer on the photocopy of FormI-485 (enclosed) with your signiture and the date next to your answer"

I did TB skin test in 2007 that came negative and it appears to me, civil surgeon did not updated results on I-693 form. Today, I got sealed envelop from doctor and she has updated TB test results conducted in 2007 on new I-693 form. Is that ok or I need to do new TB skin test? Please let me know.

On checking copy of original I-485, I had answered Part3 C with "NON" instead of "NONE".I have few questions on this:

1.Visa Office did not enclose photo copy of Form I-485 as was stated in the RFE letter.Should I send photo copy of original I-485 with correction and signiture on it?

2. Do I need to send them only this page of Form I-485 or complete I-485 form?

numberUSA give this argument for all the immigration communities which I am sure is from a different perspective (xenophobic or race). They just don't want any immigrants no matter what.

I am talking only about this crisis and merely from economic point of view. About choosing based upon what is good for the economy and what is not.

Good Luck to all of you, but nowadays if a person is below the age of 60, getting a Visitors Visa is difficult, but there are exceptional cases too.but no guarantee that they will issue a Visa. Show bank account, or real estate in their names, And also appoint letter may help, but there is no guarantee, only Visitor's visas issued for youngsters are Celebrities, Business persons, diplomats and if you are able to convince US consulate that you will come back for sure. (with proving documents!) otherwise it is difficult to my knowledge.

I need a clarification on the process. Here is my scenario

1. PD : Feb 2004 EB3 India
2. 485 : Filed during july 2007
3. 140 : Approved on jan 2009 --> Revoked by my previous company on 12/23/2009
4. AC21 : Used AC21 to change jobs in Feb 2009. Transferred job using H1B tranfer and got it for 3 years(valid until Jan 2012). Changed jobs after 500 days of applying 485.
5. EAD and Ap is not valid(did not renew it as I chose to maintain H1b). I let it expire in 2008.
6. The new company would not file for EB2 as my current job description does not qualify for EB2. They are willing to refile EB3 petition. I was not interested in doing it.

My question is:

If I want to get my H1b renewed again @ Jan 2012, it is possible to get it renewed for 3 years by using my previous 140 approval even though it is revoked by my previous employer ?? If that is not possible, what are my options to maintain my H1B.

I heard that people who ported their Old Priority date are taking that long a time as yours. Is your a fresh application or did it used Older Priority Date.

Else you may be a victim of IT issues they had initially with perm.

Anyway, There is a long wait now for filing concurrent 140/485..

It is a fresh application.

If you are on bench, not getting paid, your employer normally asks you to send him a letter stating that you are on vacation. This needs to be done every month. For the period you are on vacation, there may not be any pay stubs. Once you get any project, you will send your employer another letter saying that you are back and ready to work for them.

With this approach, you WILL NOT get any trouble from USCIS or anyone. If any RFP comes, then, employer will show these documents and clear the issues. I did this in the past and all my friends who were in different stages (like Labor filed, I-140 filed, 485 filed) also did and had no problems.

But as always it is advised that to talk to the lawyer who is working on your case is best suited to answer as that person is to submit the paper work.

How about this ? I have an approved I 140 in eb2 with my current employer, I 485 never filed, then join a new employer, start perm and then I 140.
Questions ..
1) If first employer withdraws I 140 after I move out. Can I still port my older PD when I140 is filed with new employer.
