It is not just enough for you to have the qualifications for EB2. The job requirements also should have that requirements. So in the PERM application - the job requirements has to be specified. I think the lawyer messed up the PERM process

Looks like there is a huge backlog of perm applications. I am not sure if they will look at your application anytime soon. If your application is pending more than a year at least you could apply for extension of H1.

It will be delusional on our part to think that perm applications will have an easy approvals.

Stuggling to get a PERM approval since JUN 07. For a moment if i just forget about this PERM, What are the chances that my H1b Extension will be approved without any problem? My situation is I have completed 5 years and 4 months on H1b. My visa expires Mar 2010 and my 6 yrs term expires in NOV 2010, out of USA stay of only one month. I switched only one employer after coming to US. With the new employer since Mar 07. Will there be any problem with H1b Extension till OCT 2010

This appears to be more relavant given the need for rejuvenating the state chapters. Why not we have this as simple links on the main page itself and make it damn easy to join the chapter. The most important thing to do is to have the members join the chapters and have the contact numbers. Once these are there the IV state chapters could follow up and get the activities rolling with these members.

Bottom line: Have the state chapter joining links on the main page and have it simplified for the members to join very easily ( kind of taking the name, contact number and email and nothing more) later the chapter core could get in touch with them and get the complete profile. A kind of marketing gimmick.

One of my relative did work in Vancouver, Canada with his GC. He got his work permit at Canadian port of entry. Anyway this was long back, so please do your research, rules might have changed since then.

USCIS instruction say that if they can sign, they can sign the forms. Otherwise, you can sign and include signed by father or mother in front of the signature.

NetIP is a nationwide organization, though each chapter seems to function in a somewhat independent way. However, events that have been successful at one chapter tend to be taken up by other chapters.

The nationwide NetIP chairs did not respond to me, though the Bay Area president did.

It is always recommended to renew both EAD and AP together, though you can chose to renew only AP.

My guess is that 120 day rule applies to EAD only, and not AP.

You can renew EAD after it has expired, but again it is recommended to at least send in the application BEFORE the expiry date.

I am having my EAD and AP and I am not using my EAD.

EAD expires Sept 08
AP expires Oct 08

My question is

Can I renew AP only ?
If, I do not renew EAD will it be a problem in the future ?
Can I renew it after EAD has expired ?

Also, If I am renewing AP only, when does the 120 days rule come into picture.
Is it with the AP date or EAD date.

I have read somewhere that e-filed 140s are processed by TSC [which is a good thing for me because I have heard that TSC is lenient with cases like mine - 3 year degree ]

Yes its related to property matters and need to execute on a stamp paper from India, I see below from Indian Consulate, San Francisco website

"If you are obliged to execute the Power of Attorney on a Stamp Paper from India, then please follow the �Apostille� Convention. Once the �Apostille� sticker is affixed to the Power of Attorney, the Consulate is not required to authenticate again the Power of Attorney."

Trying my best.. Spent over $70 in stamps so far.. more to come
