Steps taken:
SR opened for my petition around July 17th: Response stated that my petition was in the adjudications department, and was for an officer to be assigned.
Status enquiry through the local congresswoman Aug 12th: Same result as my SR.
SR opened for my wife Aug., 10th: No response yet
Infopass appointment on Aug. 16th: Both petitions with an officer since Aug. 12th.

The Last updated date for my I -485 application is showing as 8/24/2010 now.
What does that mean ?

IF you are in such a big hole, you will have to come forward and work for yourself. We want others to work for us and solve our problems. That is my issue here. With 11.25 K EB3 members we would have still collected quarter million bucks.(@ 25$/person) If EB3-I does not care for itself, why would anybody else give a damn? (PS : I did contribute for the drive as I want everybody's issues with respect to GC resolved, not just mine)

So, the original post still stands true.

Problem was ours (EB2 & EB3) and we fought together until EB2&EB3 dates were retrogressed.Now the problem is only for EB3s so EB3s only have to come forward and work for ourselves. Thank you Sir...

What I am saying is we(EB2&3) will fight together and you are saying that It's your problem and you(EB3) have to work for yourself.So do we have to start a new community called eb3immigrationvoice?

My frined got receipt from TSC yesterday, his attorney sent package them on 31st , I think they got it on June 1st. He has not got finger printing notice yet.

I applied on May 18th 140/485 Nebraska, Got receipt on May 28 from TSC with finger printing schedule after 2 weeks. 140 got approved on 23rd May.

Friends, My friends is saying if the New bill approves then we might have to re-apply again, even wealready have applied 485, is this True? I am bit confuse, I aksed to my Lawyer he said your Labor and 140 is New , he cannot tell anything at this point. If the person is already applied and waiting for Card should be effected, any opinion?

Good to know that you are still working on that lawsuit ( as a covert operation rather than arguing with other IV ians) but that makes everyone of us feel shaky in joining hands with you in this issue as well.

The moment (not the day) your interests will get done you will leave hands in this coalition...... Or are you just trying to exploit/leverage someone's 'English writing Skill' or may be use the "IV platform" to use it in own advantage ??

Look - i've nothing personal with you or against you but i do NOT want to join hands with someone who harbors/nurtures "Divisive Thoughts" in small technical matters like EB2 and EB3 ...

Just want to let you know that I am still VERY MUCH against porting. But neither that is the issue we are handling here nor the other issue is as urgent as this one.

I work for company A which sent me to client C through company B(Prefered vendor). After working with the same client for 1.5 yrs, transfered my h1b to company B(PF) due to issues with the pay with company A. Company A has deducted huge sum of money($4000) from my last months pay towards PERM filing(Still under process). Upon demanding them to reimburse my money saying that its against law, they r threatening me saying that based on non-compete agreement they will take legal action against me.
I am not actually aware of the clauses in the agreement. company B(PF) told me that it does not have any clauses in its agreement with company A prohibiting them from taking me.Though i requested company A to provide me a copy of non-compete, they said i signed with them, they haven�t. The company is located in NJ and not sure how non-competes work under NJ state law.
I am really frustated upon this blackmail and going thru lot of pressure. The amount is too big too leave and cannot afford to hire a lawyer in case they file suit based on non-compete. even if i had signed a non compete agreement how does it stand as it is conflicting the agreement which company a signed with PF sayign tht upon my termination of the emplyment with them, Pf can take me without any gap period... what can i do to get my money. they also refused to provide me with experience letter which i need for my future GC filing.
Plz give me ur valuable inputs

Can you get the copy of non-compete agreement from other coworker?
You should have copy of any agreement or any paper you sign with employer.

my attorney recieved receipts today...filed on July 3rd at nebraska center.

Can you tell us what time it reached NSC on July 3rd. Looks like lot of people July 3rd at 9:03 received by R.William are waiting for receipt. Are you one among them?

I recived the case nos from TSC , they had received mine & my wife's applications ( 485, 765,131 ) on 4th June , I see one set of checks cashed.
I expect the other set to be cleared some time Mon-Tues

My I-485, I-140 and I-765 for my wife reached Nebraska on August 17th, exactly the last day, because I was in my home country and came back on August 15th.

Obviuosly, no receipt# yet.....I think I will wait a couple of months to get it.

Could anyone, please, tell me how much you paid for 2x I-485, I-140 and I-765 for my wife. Is the correct fee: 1165$ ?

Can someone with a paypal account come forward and take over a fund? Anyone with a paypal account can donate any amount using a nickname and we can publish the nickname along with the amount donated on this thread. That way we have accountability and also have a better idea of how many flowers we can send. That person with the paypal account can then order the flowers on Saturday by the latest.

Others, if they want, can send the flowers on their own also.

Just a suggestion... If we can do this, I believe more people will come forward!

Anyone who has donated to IV should be able to do this...


This is a good idea - actually we could send flowers for cheap rates if we order it in bulk. Let me know who's in for this. We can open up a paypal account or use one of our own paypal account and start collecting funds and use it to send the flowers to the USCIS dept.

By the way - since I am in NOVA/DC, I can initiate some media coverage even if we can get some substantial number of people sending flowers.

Everybody has been waiting for his/her green card and congratulations to all those who has got their GC. On the other hand it is really unfair and to some extent unethical on the part of USICS not follow a fair system.
There are several people in 2004, 2005 who have been paitently waiting for their turn only to see that people behind them getting approved.
Several of us have writtent to Ombudsman, Director but of no avail.
Not sure what else can be done? Any Idea? Do we have any liaison with AILA who can take up this matter.

Not only this situation , CIS is not fair in many situations.

1.Issuing Stamping to liars(Who says they don't have intention to settle in US when they go for F1/H1 stamping) and rejecting stamping to honest people(whom they doubt that they may settle permanently in US) at consulate.
2.Making Eb2/Eb3 current(July 2007) for the purpose of fees.
3.Substitute labors
4.Giving visa number to spouse(for example not even passed 10th standard) of EB2 applicant , instead of EB3 qualified candidate(for example Computer Science Graduate from reputed universities)
5.Not following PD

All mine and my spouse's applications were transfered to Vermont. my I-140 was approved from TSC. My checks were cashed on July17th and that is how I know that it is pending at VSC.
Yesterday I got an email that Card production ordered for EAD. All applications applied on July 6th. I am not sure on what basis they transfered. But it looks like Vermont has started approving the EAD cards. Hopefully, I will get it soon too in the mail.
