You are going to be so sick of the word "casual" by the end of this post.

Darlings, the stars came out for John Varvatos' 8th Annual Stuart House Benefit. "Stuart House is an internationally recognized, model program that was created to serve the special needs of sexually abused children." Which means there's just no way we're going to be bitchy when they all came out for such a good (not to mention heartbreaking) cause. But we have a unique opportunity here because the event was obviously tres casual, which means we get to look at stars, male and female, without the benefit of stylists, loaned clothing and jewelry, and the latest, most expensive items off the runways. It's just celebs, doing their version of Casual Friday. Let's see how they did.

Chris Zylka

Cute, if not exactly notable. Compared to most of the other outfits, this is a bit too casual.

Daniel Sunjata

Nicely done. It's just jeans, sneakers and a polo shirt, but thought was put into it and you can see the quality in each piece. Besides, he fills that shirt out quite nicely.

David Schwimmer

No. There's "casual," and then there's "free clinic."

James Van Der Beek and wife Kimberly Brook

We still love a hoodie under a sports coat for a casual cold weather look for men. We're not loving the henley collar underneath, though. That's one too many disparate elements. To be fair, we tend to automatically associate henley collars with Pa Ingalls, and that makes us avoid them.

For some reason, we just don't love her coat - and we usually love a gal in a fierce trench. We feel like a short and sassy jacket would have worked so much better.

Jason Behr

Oh man. Are we recycling 1995 already?

Jayma Mays

This was almost something. Anything but a white top would have made this outfit much cuter. And we love the flats, which are being deployed with one of the best types of skirt to wear with flats, but we think she could have found a more eye-catching pair than basic black. Also, tie the old reliable Hermès scarf around the handle of the bag. Cliche or classic, it's still better than that silly bow.

Jesse Williams

An excellent use of the untuck. He looks casual, but really put together Although the scarf should have provided a little more contrast.

Julie Benz

Sure, it's a little "yoga class," but for our money, a gal really can't go wrong with a look like this for a casual event. It's got a classic chicness to it. We would have recommended different shoes, though. And a different necklace.

Justin Chambers

Call us biased, but as far as we're concerned, the porkpie hat automatically raises the possibility of douchiness several degrees higher. They're like Ed Hardy t-shirts that way. He looks pretty sloppy. Competing denims are rarely a good idea. Besides, the shirt doesn't fit.

K.D. Lang

Well. It's a look.

Kadee Strickland

No. Absolutely not. There's some question as to whether they should be worn at all, but there's no question that overalls should not be worn if one knows one's picture will be taken. Hell, they shouldn't even be worn in public, period. Overalls are for gardening and gay porn. That's it.

We know we said we weren't going to be bitchy, but come on, you guys. Overalls.

Kevin McKidd

Sure a white t shirt is a classic, but it's a bit too casual. He looks too skinny. We liked him when he was meaty.

Lachlan Buchanan

Can't argue with that.

LL Cool J

It's just all right, which in itself is a bit disappointing, since Cool James usually does casual very well.

Patrick and Jillian Demspey

We don't really like anything we're looking at here.

Ryan Eggold

A little more effort on top would have been nice.

Sam Page

Perfect. Nevermind. We thought that was a collared shirt for some reason. Bad Sam.

Trevor Donovan

We tend to think it should either be "leather jacket with a collared shirt" or "sports coat with a collarless shirt;" never "leather jacket with a collarless shirt." Not at a party or event. This is giving off a vibe barely a step above "Saturday errands."

Zoe Saldana

Well, as far as we're concerned the question of whether she has style or she pays someone to make her look like it has been answered. She looks really cute and put together and we're dying to see what she wore under the jacket. Chic little look.
