Crystal Renn for Vogue Mexico April 2011 issue
Photographed by David Roemer.
You know, it's all well and good to feature actresses in editorials. People like to look at and talk about actresses and it's a sad fact of the fashion industry that a well-known actress on the cover of a fashion magazine will usually sell more issues than a well-known model. We can attest to the fact that actress editorials get a higher response than model ones nine times out of ten here on the blog. That's just the way it crumbles, cookie-wise.
Still, sometimes you just want to see a real goddamn model put through her paces and tearing it up just to remind us all that there are some things actresses can't do. This is Crystal Renn's first cover for Vogue and she's making the most of it; selling the looks and selling herself as a modeling force to be reckoned with. She is, as they say, fierce as shit.
