Well. That happened.
It was an Oscars ceremony punctuated by moments of sappiness, bitchiness, long stretches of nothingness, and the occasional glimpse of craziness. The critics will (or maybe already have) declare it the Worst Oscars Broadcast in Years (or Possibly Ever), but they say that every year. Annie did an okay, if not great job as host If nothing else, girl was all in and gave it everything she had. James Franco, on the other hand, calmed his nerves pre-show with one too many joints and we're pretty sure Anne was holding him up at certain points.
But the real story, as always, was the fashion. No one gave us more to talk about than Anne herself, who unveiled one stunning look after another in a succession of costume changes that rivaled a Cher Farewell Tour show (8 in all). Major kudos to Rachel Zoe; this night was a highlight of her career and in styling Anne's looks, she knocked this one out of the park.
If you're expecting critical analysis in the T Lo vein, we're afraid we're going to have to disappoint. There are only so many ways to say "STUNNING," after all. In fact, let's flip open a thesaurus and let it be our guide.
Vintage Valentino Couture
SPECTACULAR.
We heard some twitter grumbling about a tumor but y'all are nuts. This dress is amazing.

BEAUTEOUS.
Although Tom thought the embellishments went a bit far and changed her shape a bit.
COMELY.
The Brian Atwood pumps make it.
DEVASTATING.
But wow, do we hate her hair here.
BONNY (we're scraping the bottom of the thesaurus barrel now).
And we kind of love her hair here. Her little fringe dance was cute.
RAVISHING.
Love the liquid effect.
DAZZLING.
Red was the color of the night (again), but this might be our favorite shade of all of them.
SMASHING.
Girl really worked her ass off. Can you imagine wearing hundreds of thousands of dollars of couture in one night? And going through a half-dozen hair changes? And singing? She's our new hero.
Many, many, many more Oscar looks to come, darlings!
