1) Does this mean that if we link from our webpages/homepages to IV, that it will count?
2) How about if I set up a website, create a thousand pages in it, and put a link to IV on each of those pages? Does that count? Is it the number of pages that point to IV that count? Or the number of websites? Do you know how the spiders work?
3) Also, how about clicking on IV. Like, can I google retrogression, and then go to page 2, and then click on IV. Will that count? If it does, then we can all do that daily. All the bums that come here and don't pay, they can atleast do this.
I am bringing this up because I had been googling retrogression for a long time, and IV never came up.
Yes that will work. This method of making google bring up a link on top is called "google bombing". This is exactly the method that was used to make George Bush's biography appear as the first link when you googled the key "failure".

There is another compelling argument against taking the lawsuit way, even if assuming there is a case to be made, and we have plenty of money. (The first is unclear, the second is a firm no, but let us assume anyway for the sake or argument)
One of the reasons why Roe v Wade, 34 years on, is still a controversial decision today is the fact that the US is probably unique in the world in the sense that a constitutionality argument was used to decide public policy.
In Europe, as in other parts of the world, abortion was considered as a health issue, and handled via legislation and health care guidelines.
But because it was a constitutionality issue in US, and enforced from the bench, a significant portion of the populace felt left out of the decision making process, which stimulated a simmering opposition and entrenched the main actors of the "culture wars", which persist to this day.
There is significant debate even among liberals whether Roe V Wade has helped or harmed the liberal cause, and if knowing what we know, there could have been another approach to achieve the same end.
In a nutshell, approaching the courts is a double edged sword. There may be some strategic gains in the short term, but the long term impact is unclear and unpredictable. A legislative approach might be slower and incremental, but it is less risky.
Think of lobbying as polite negotiation.
Think of Supreme court case as picking a fist fight, in which we are badly out numbered.
Once you have started a fist fight it is much harder to negotiate, especially from a loosing position.
This is exactly correct. It is not the question of right or wrong here. That is what gets folks so upset on this thread, they feel since their viewpoint s right then.......... Most neutral observers like mbartosik can see this as unjust and there may be many in the US as well, however certainly not the majority. However, there are many ways in which this could backfire. One example is the recently seen debate over illegal immigration and the turn in public sentiment. Truth be told, if someone did something wrong 12 yrs ago(crossed the fence), now is married to a US citizen and has 3 US children, what do you do with them? What about the 3yr old who was brought to the USA by their parents and knows no other system? Perhaps a few years ago joe public would have given them a pass, no more, the debate has become so nasty that positions have been hardened to the point that reason does not prevail. Another reason has something to do with the perceived sense of entitlement Americans sensed in the illegal immigrant community(of course fanned by Lou Dobbs and his ilk). These are complex issues and generally you will get a lot further appealing to someones sense of fairness than explaining how you are entitled to something and will take it from them if it is not given to you.
emma watson vogue 2011I did not see any precedance for stopping I485 in the middle of months for past 10 years. If it happens that will be first time
What I noticed is these kind of roumor comes from those who already filed and got their receipts :D :D
Isn't it??? ;)
Mid month retrogression is possible acc to Murthy but that may not happen in July
Everything is a speculation here. USCIS is the winner - always keeps us guessing.
Some optimistic coments I heard is - USCIS is now prepared to clear backlogs and will accept a lot of applications this month as they do not want this year's visa quota wasted.

Reading this post and the Ron Gotcher numbers, I see some answers for the pending India backlog number question and a silver lining for EB2.

Quote:
Indian applicants make up approximately 40 to 45 per cent of the entire employment based quota backlog
Therefore, about 160,000 applications are pending for India!
As we have seen before, EB3 and EB2 are almost the same proportion for India with EB3 being slightly higher. So, about 85,000 for EB3 and 75,000 for EB2 are pending.
I am very confident that EB-2 india will become current in about 14-18 months.
I disagree with the underlined part before the visa numbers started to move fast in June and The July bulletin EB2 was at Jan 03 and then at Apr 04 but EB3 was at May 01 and then at June 2003 so there will me more like 60~65 percent of Eb3 filers so for calculating EB2 movements we should take this into account as well. So if USCIS does end up giving all the spillover numbers to the retro cuntries in EB2 then I have to agree with Vdlrao's analysis that there will not be much retro in India in the next FY and by the end of next FY it might even become close to current.
more...emma watson vogue 2011Lets see how much money you have donated. Please provide details and then we will compare.
As far as action items are concerned... Here is the latest example:
I have just send the email regarding EAD issues...Did you send the email?
Also as requested by one of the member, give your mailing address so that CIS can be notified.:D
I have been donating more money to IV over 4 years then you do, and will keep on doing. Do you?
There are lot of action items to meeting lawmakers. Why don't get your focus on that?

Please advise.

more...of Emma Watson#39;s US VogueFor all those who are stating that filing in EB1 should not matter, please withdraw your application and let other people in line move ahead. Give me 1 simple reason, why should we not raise this issue. In hindi, there s an old saying "boondh boond karge ghara bartha hain"....
I will request all of you to send letters to USCIS to raise this issue and lets have a close scrutiny of all EB1 applicants received/filed....I understand that this is not the solution but i am pi***** at people using loopholes all the time.....
Don't those knuckle heads infiltrate other countries in the world too? This is ridiculous. What a frickin mess we got here!

2010 emma watson vogue 2011TN is not a modified H1B. With TN you do not have a dual intent: you cannot apply for a green card straight through TN status -- you would have to adjust your status to H1, L1, or any other immigrant status and only then apply for a green card.
TN is given for two years. Your wife can just as easily file for a TN in her occupation. Yes, you need an employer in the USA to get TN status, but I don't see a big problem with it. I work for a relatively small company (about 90 employees), and we hire people from all over the world. Our recruitment personnel conducts online and phone interviews, and a job offer can be made before the candidate ever visits our state.
With TN you get stamped at the border -- and welcome back to the USA! :)
Another interesting idea about Canada-USA work/immigration popped up today in conversation with my immigration lawyer. If you have a managerial position in a company that has offices in USA and Canada, you can jump on L1 visa. This will let you file in EB-1 category if you want to go for a green card. There are some additional requirements: you need to work as a manager in the company's branch in Canada for at least a year; when you apply for a green card, the company will need to prove that the Canadian office will keep operating after you get your green card and leave Canada. Nevertheless, it's a possibility that is definitely better than EB-3 or EB-2.

The inherent racism of historic Hinduism is thus blatant. You were judged by the color of your skin, not the content of your character, skills or talents. The darker your skin, the lower your caste and rank in Hindu society. The whiter your skin, the higher your caste and rank. The Brahmins prided themselves on their white skin while despising the darker skinned untouchables who were often viewed and treated as sub-humans.
This explains why Hindu gurus are more than willing to travel to the West to convert rich white Europeans to Hinduism BUT never travel to black Africa to make converts. The truth is, they don’t want black people whose skin color is an indication of bad karma. As long as they can sucker rich white people into giving them money (“Money is evil. So give it all to me.”) why bother with darker skinned people?
This can be documented by the statements of many of the gurus who have reaped riches in the West. When one guru was asked on TV what he was doing to help the poor, he responded, “Let the Christians take care of them. I am here to help the rich.”
YSR is dengerous than SWINE FLUE...shame on YSR's Son.
Over 100 die after YSR's death..
India - NEWS - The Times of India (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/opinions/4970708.cms#top1)
See what posters in Times of India say
Raj,Uk,says:With all due respect to YSR but his followers are not leaving any stone unturned in capitalising his death it seems like a race to make him most popular leader. If the number of deaths due to shock to be considered as the measure of popularity then YSR becomes far more famous then Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi et al. This is a wrong precedence we are setting by publishing the unconfirmed news, just think what will happen post mayawati/lalu and other so called popular leaders.
Ek,BLR,says:60 people dying is a joke..bigger joke is people dying of cardiac arrest...I have never heard of anyone having a cardiac arrest at their mother, father, wife or for that matter their Child's death.......These people attribute any death happening on these days to YSR's death..I am not denying there are some fools who are capable of committing suicides though!!!

I think you are taking it so personal. I am not opposing this idea. In fact, I suggested to check with your immigration lawyers and share what they say.
All I'm saying is that, in my personal view, I don't see any discrimination on the existing law you are pointing out. I don't see anyone being discriminated. It just so happen that we belong to 4 countries affected by this quota.
If we can ask the US government to probably give exception to us, I think that's one idea. But that's absolutely remote.
My country of origin has got nothing to do with what we are talking here. You are taking so personal because you might have been waiting for your GC for quite sometime. Well, we are just on the same boat.
This is an open forum my friend. So please take it easy.
Villamonte,
Just so that we can understand the background of your continues opposition to this idea, could you please let us know your country of origin? Also some information about which state chapter you belong to will be great if you don't mind. :)
Thanks.

Cost of applying = application fee ($795 ??) + Lawyer fee + others (= medical + pictures + ...)
Also, which parts are lost if we have to re-apply!

hi All,
Can someone give me advice on this:
I have 4 yrs Bachelors + 6.5 yrs of IT exp. i am being offered a Pre- approved labor(EB3-PD-Nov.2003), which was filed for someone with a condition-Bachelors + 4 years exp., at the time of filing.
i graduated in June 2000, so i am about 1 year short for the 2003 PD. However i did some part time work during college in India and the lawyer says if i can get exp. letter from that company on a letter head, that should suffice.
i am concerned if that India exp. during graduation will work or not.
Has anyone faced a situation like this?
the (part time exp)company was very small, can this be risky? what do you guys think?
Thanks.

emma watson vogue shoot 2011. Emma Watson Vogue US July 2011I remeber how brutal Imran used to be to Indian openers with his deadly in-swinger. Those were days of good cricket ... a classy cricket. Outside cricket Imran still commands respect for being honorable and honest person.
On other hand our Azhar is one of those who will sell his own mother for money. A disgrace to cricket world. Comparing him to Imran is like comparing Lion in Jungle to a Hyenna ( no disrespect to reading Hyenna).
Few years back bunch of cricketers originating from AP here in MI sponsored him and his wife to visit here. I was invited by come and shake hand and photograph with this bookie and his beautiful wife. Majority of people having self-respect politely rejected the invitation. Now I hear he is trying to become bookie in New Delhi. Good Luck!
Well said !
He has mistrusted us. I do remember throwing his wiket by giving simple catch on mid-on/off and getting run out others ! When CBI raided his home, they found 3 -4 crore of watches in his jwell box. Wonder how much money he might have made with working top bookies ? He/Sanjay Dutt and other like them know that it might come back anytime so they are getting prepared politically.

Thank you all for the insight and advice. I wish the US greencard process wasnt a bureaucratic blackhole. I have been here for 6 years amidst the so-called backlog reduction and the stagnant retrogression with no end in sight. It is really frustrating. My wife being a licensed physician cant work. We just end up coughing up our paychecks to uncle Sam and the lawyers. Unless something is done soon about the legal immigration process, I can see the US losing out to other countries which have a structured system like Canada and Australia.

a) Now you can pay for 80% of the list you mentioned using Internet and e-seva kendras
b) With Right For Information act you can drag people to thier knees if someone asks for bribe.
d) You can have to see the move Die Hard 4
e & f) what about the products here from China
g) Well it depends on the kids
Its not the question of economy alone. When deciding to go back. Its a question about convenience.
a) I don't want to stand in line to pay my Electric/Telephone/House Tax/Income Tax/Train Ticket/Air Ticket/Bus Ticket/Children Admission-donations/Petrol Line/LP Gas Line/Restaurant Line/Chola Bhatura Line/Samosa Line/RTO Office line/Registration line/License Line/Stock Buy line/Stock Sell Line/Bank Deposit Line/Bank Draft Line/Fixed Deposit Line/Kisaan Vikas Patra Line/Registered/Speed post Line/Blue Dart Line/Company registration line/College admission line/College fee line/University degree line/Interview Line/Booking a Car line/Beer Whisky Line/Canteen Line.
Half the country stands in line, the other half manages the line. Neither has any civic sense.
b) I don't want to bribe babus who manage above lines to get ahead in line.
d) I don't want power failures/cooler failures/ac failures/broken roads/or other catastrophic system failures.
e) I dont want fake or mixed eating oil / flour / milk / cheese / butter / peppers / lentils / rice
f) I don't want dangerous chemical fertilizers in my produce (slow killers - massive kidney failure rate in India for past 10 years)
g) I don't want to teach my children dishonesty and tricks of survival/street smartness (in ref to corruption in India) which don't add any value to their personality.
h) The only reason I would wanna go back is for my immediate family and friends. Thats the only thing I miss when it comes to India.
I wouldn't go back and I believe even MK Gandhi himself would'nt leave from Africa for India in todays times.
Also Its the enemy within (corruption) which can cause great harm and we have that kind of enemy now. You can never ever change the attitudes which people carry in India without another revolution.
I am sure I can come up with a huge list of positives too, They will sound very good and will give me a great feeling of fake National Pride.
Now go ahead and kill me for saying all the above.!!

nik.patelc,
That might be true..revelation of a corrupt politician...masking people deaths for a vicious cause of sympathy.
Just one quick question?
If you get a chance as politician, Can you say you will not do any corruption? If some try to kill you, if you have power, will you be remain silent ?
Facts:
1) If the person doesnt want to do corruption even he is politician, He always be calm and do some social work as much as he can.
2) If the person who they want to make big money in easy waythey will choose politics and step by step they grow and do some cheatings like CBN did to NTR Or else as you mentioned YSR kill some people and become powerful politician like CM or some thing else. Even they dont care about media or people like you keep telling about their cheating, factionist. They will do what they want to do.
3) People who want to do the corruption but they didnt get a chance to do that. Searching and searching for a chance to do the corruptionBut they all GOOD FOR NOTHINGS. Those people will always talk about other people corruptions and factionist stories even they dont have enough knowledge. I men to say JUST LIKE YOU.
Hope you got the point here.
I have applied for 485 last year and I already have I-140 approved so I meet the criteria for AC21.
My question is that I have not applied for EAD and I am still on H1 with same employer. In case I lose job will I be considered out of status immediately for the reason that I am not using EAD. As I understand being on EAD allows some flexibility in gap in employment until the time of approval of 485 application.
I suggest you apply for your EAD as soon as you can. It allows you a lot more flexibility and also helps with other issues such as the drivers license.
