Femme-centered cable network Lifetime has plucked Brat Packer Rob Lowe to play suspected wife-killer Drew Peterson in its latest Ripped From the Headlines TV movie, the aptly-titled The Drew Peterson Story. The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco will aboard as Petersen’s much younger wife, Stacy, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.
Petersen, 57, is a former Illinois police officer suspected in the drowning death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, and the disappearance of Stacy. The fourth Mrs. Drew Peterson, 24, hasn’t been seen since she left the couple’s suburban home in her minivan in Oct. 2007. Peterson, who maintains that Stacy “ran off” with another man, was arrested and charged with her death in May 2009. He’s being held in a Chicago-area prison on $20 million bail.
