Hi,
I've got a 2007 Aluminium iMac and I've noticed these last few weeks that it is spinning the beach ball a bit more than before and has to have a little think about things when I ask it to do something from time to time.
Time for a spring clean I think. :D
So, can anyone point a tech-savvy person towards some good articles or forum threads on how to get my Mac operating again as it should?
My machine was running Tiger when I bought it and was upgraded to Leopard then Snow Leopard. I've never done a reinstall and to be honest I was hoping I wouldn't have to. I'm 100% comfortable with messing with files, folders, plists and pretty much anything else on the Mac. If I'm honest I'm just looking for a cheat sheet for regaining performance on my machine without having to figure it out for myself... :o

I did not dispute for one moment that the Radeon pictures did NOT feature TiBooks. I think there is just too much read into a publicity picture. I would love to be proved wrong, but there is a chance that they plain wanted to use a good looking machine - whether it featured the new Radeon chip or not.
I have seen advertising for Intel based PCs in the former eastern block countries where they pasted OSX screen captures into the monitor. When I asked why they do it, they say it looks much nicer and expensive...
BTW, if you know anything about past macs, clearly the laptop in the XP picture is a G3 PowerBook, because at their time , the Pismo, Lombard, etc. were very sexy. The white logo has been photoshopped out, but the curves and the shape scream MAC!

Tek, is there plenty of room for 2 ssd's? I want to remove the optical, put the ssd there and put a ssd in place of the hard drive or maybe use a 7200 rpm drive in place of the slow hard drive.
I know it has been done, but I have not done it myself. I have replaced the optical with a blu-ray drive, and know that there is room for a 12.5mm drive up there (so you can get a 1TB drive in there). There is a plastic tray that holds the optical drive and I would think that the screw holes would at least partially line up with the screw positions of a ssd or HD, but again, I haven't done it.

Vogue Nippon and Comme desI have run accros many of these in my area. I always send an email asking to meet somewhere so i can check it out. So far i have always gotten an email back about how they are currently out of the country, but they want to do the transaction via some escrow service. I guess i am hoping someday i might get lucky, but probably will never happen.

� display bezel
� backlight inverter board
� aluminum access panel(the one on the bottom that you remove to take it apart)
� power cable
Obviously I'd be willing to purchase a parts iMac if the price were right and it had what I need.

Never hurts to drop off your resume to one of the store's managers. Ask for the "Store Leader" though as that is the main store manager and usually has the final say about the hiring.

There are only two diesels currently offered in the US: the MB e350 and VW Jetta. However, neither are availible for purchase in several states, including California, and New York.
However, the regs allow ownership of these diesels within those states if the purchaser runs through severael hoops. Is anyone familiar with the process for purchasing the car out of state and importing back to the state with the prohibition? It involves driving the car for several thousand miles for a minimum number of months before registering in the home state. I'm most interested in California.

1) original/replacement/refurbish which one is best?
Since you have spent so much on MBP why not choose the original one.
If you bought used MBP, too old to buy a new original, you can choose Grade A replacement or a refurbish seller you trust.
2) Why I can't track original adapters from Apple Store?
If not buy from Apple directly, most time you can't. Apple don't accept it in fact, because these adapters get from OEM directly.
Trading Companies call it Gray Market, most original adapters are not brand new. QC from Apple is very strict, adapter with little scratch or even a tiny spot should be destoryed. And that's maybe what you get.

month#39;s Vogue cover show aI picked up an iPad because I had to support it for a client that picked up 20 of them. The company paid for it so I didnt mind but figured I would noodle around with it enough to learn the interface and then it would collect dust. The more I used it, the more I liked it and as I worked on the project for the client to replace their notebooks for travel, I found I was mostly able to replace mine as well. Now I carry it everywhere. After my wife got ahold of it and starting playing around she wanted one too...so now I have 2 of them. Unless there is a huge speed bump with the next version I cant see myself "upgrading" immediately though, the nasal cam just holds no interest for me and it looks like the resolution is going to be the same. My guess is that like my macbook and imac I will likely be on an every 2nd or 3rd generation upgrade cycle. I do have kids wanting ipads now too though, so who knows maybe ill upgrade next time around and use the excuse of more memory (I have a 32gb now but would love to have a 64gb) and pass mine on to the kids.

Odd, I just was thinking about this the other day as well. I'm in the market for a slide scanner - I've used the Nikon's before and I'm tempted to go buy one myself - the prices have come down a bit.
But are there any good sites that have decent comprehensive reviews of all the slide scanners?
