Justin Bieber, 17, was in the Big Apple to promote his new fragrance Someday at the flagship store of Macys on Thursday, June 23. The incident happened during a meet and greet with his fans. Dressed in all black, except for his red sports watch, the Canadian heartthrob and current flame of Selena Gomez took a detour from his intended route just outside of the famous department store, when he was nearly trampled by an uncontrollable crowd straining to see him. A plainclothes officer jumped on Bieber to try and rescue him from the crowd, but ended up being tackled by Justin's security detail. The officer immediately identified himself, but Justin's security wasn't convinced. The officer had to be "secured" by the cops after being cited for disorderly conduct. The Biebster, much to his credit, regained his composure after the incident and went on mingling with his fans. He followed up the store visit by attending the premiere of Monte Carlo, which also happens to be his girlfriend's movie. A very cute-looking Selena, when questioned about the incident looked surprised; she hadn't really heard about it. Perhaps what really makes Justin a star, besides being able to sell records, is his ability to reach out to fans even after a mishap and then go support his girl without breaking a sweat.
