Eva Green is worried about designer John Galliano, who was accused of racist rants earlier this year, saying that she wishes she could turn back time.The 30-year-old actress is friends with the designer, who will stand trial in Paris on June 22 on charges of verbally abusing three people with anti-Semitic and racist slurs on two separate occasions earlier this year.While she is not defending his actions, she says his behaviour was very out of character, reported The Observer.”I haven”t spoken to him. It”s difficult to talk about this subject, because I don”t really know what happened. He is extremely fragile, a very sensitive, creative person with a great sense of humour and he”s always been so kind to me. He”s very shy. I adore him. It”s been very brutal and I really just wish he could go back in time and for it not to happen.”I”m sure he”s going to get back [in to fashion] because he”s so talented. Sometimes, you can make mistakes. I don”t think he”s anti-Semitic. I”m Jewish. I don”t think he has anything against the Jews. I think it”s more that he was probably a bit drunk,” the actress said.Green also believes the couple who filmed the designer”s outbursts should take some responsibility.”Something must have happened to trigger the outburst. I”m very sad. He has to get better. He”s very vulnerable,” said Green.Following the incident, Galliano reportedly checked into The Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona after being urged to get help for his alcohol problems by Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
