God, within one month they processed only 9 days applications, mine is sep 20 and i dont know when my number will come. Damn, they can process 25k applications in 2 days but they cant process 9 days I-140 apps in one month. so frustrating, my h1 will expire on sep 29th 2007:mad:

I know ROW country may not like this thread, but look at EB-3 India or China, put yourself in our shoes and than you may realize how unfair this country is. In this unprecedented financial turmoil, I feel there are very remote chances for CIR or any package which increase immigration etc would pass, I am taking this initiative to gather as many people I can and go to washington. Again this is not an IV effort. If you are with me , you can spare some time it could be few days in Washington!! please PM me.
Again we are not creating any organization or anything, we are not going against IV's agenda. This is also a part of IV's agenda, but for now our sole agenda will be to bring a 2 line bill to remove country quota or increase the country cap(whichever can fly).

PS : For EB-3 India, unless country cap is removed or increased, you can presume you GC application dead forever...For EB-2 India It'll be a long journey for people with PDs sooner than 2005...

1) Try state group insurance
Texas and for that matter every state has a group insurance coverage for folks
who donot get coverage from any other insurance provider.

This is a coverage that you will get for sure, only document you will need is a written paper from insurance company that one cant be insured.

Check the state insurance board website.

2) check free clinics, these clinics will provide complete care ( you can pay them if you like)if you dont thats fine too. I suggest paying them if you can even if its a bit high, as someone who cant afford may one day get to use this service too.

3) Ask yours employer's insurance agent, group insurances gurantee insurance.

Donot worry, life works in interesting ways. As last resort one can go to home country for delivery.

I never said 80,000 FB visas are reserved for EB. Then those numbers would not be called as FB visas, would they?

Any way, if you look at the statistics (page 52, http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/CISOMB_Annual_Report_2007.pdf), USCIS has not fully utilized all available EB visas for 12 years out of the 15 years. Hence I said, USCIS is THE bottleneck. For the 3 years (out of the total of 15 years), unavailability of visa numbers is THE issue. But for the majority of the years, lack of visa numbers is NOT the issue.

When is this name check reform getting implemented. Why is is so difficult to implement ?

I have been a long time supporter of IV and all the work that IV does, I have been on this forum for close to three years now and have always believed in the cause of IV and have actively taken part in a lot of the efforts that IV has undertaken and have contributed monetarily as well .
Besides the fact that IV can try to help members in extreme situations like the one I am in, IV is really the only organization that watches out for our community, it is all we have. We need to be an active part of it and should make it stronger.

Today, I got FP for my wife for Dec-01 (Saturday:confused:).

Hoping, mine will also come soon.

One more thing...we called USCIS on 23rd Oct separately. They didn't open SR. My IO or Cust Rep said wait [more time-no timeline] and u will get ur FP notice. On the other hand my wife's IO or Cust. Rep said you get in two weeks. Now I see that her FP was issued on 5th Nov (2 weeks timeline).

I think it all started in 2007. As you guys know there were mass applications filed in 2007 from everyone who were current including EB2/ROW/I/C and EB3 /ROW/I/C.

Well said. Its absolutely true and makes sense. But to delay, it appears that some processes in the agency may be done manually. Otherwise mere increase in number of applications should not cause adverse impact to processing time. I am saying this based on my personal experience working for the state gov. with unemployment benefit system where the claims increased by 3 time, last year...and there was not much of an impact with regards to delaying in printing of checks every week. Only the batch jobs ran longer....but everything was streamline in couple of weeks after the spike.

If there is a fire in the house regardless of how you arrange furniture at least some of it will get burnt.
So stop giving advice like these and focus on extinguishing the fire.

I was not giving advice. I was clearly requesting "Please guys, let's not fight" and trying to divert the conversation to a logical discussion about horizontal spillover helping I & C. My conversation with him did end in a civil manner.

What I am trying to figure out is if the current backlogged cases for Indians are about 120K, how many could be there for China/Mex/Phil?

Could it be as high as 70K? or less?

I would appreciate someone taking crack at this.

My blind guess is about 50K. Leaving EB3 ROW with a backlog of 30K.

If China and Mexico and Philippines backlog is like 60 or 70K that means ROW will be current by the end of the next fiscal year.

This would result in over flow of the excess to retrogressed countries.

Can someone try to breakdown the 220K backlog per Mr. O, please.

I will like to ask your brain if this could be a problem as i did my H1 B Transfer twice before appling for my I 485 and everything went sucessful my GC sponsering Company is not in good terms they might have even revoke my I 140.

Is there any way to find out if my I 140 was revoked.

I applied my I 485 and EAD in July last year my H 1 B was transfered in March Last year i got my EAD's and Finger printing is also done.

But my PD is Dec 2001 so i have already crossed 180 Days and now have the right to use AC21, do i have to file any particular letter for this.

so you don't see a difference in how a private organization and a non-profit organization operates. Well here are some:

1. In your office, you are actually working for your boss and you are getting paid to do what they want you to do. I don't remember getting any pay check from IV. In fact, I have written several checks to IV. This doesn't mean I can post whatever I want but as long as I am following IV guidelines, I shouldn't get harassed by folks like you who think that their post is the only important post.

2. If you don't do what you are told at work, they'll fire your a&& and you wouldn’t know how to pay your bills next month. That's why the CEO or your boss don't have to send you a one liner before they take any decision.

As far as I know, IV is just a group of people coming together to address a problem which is shared by all members. I know that some people have worked harder than others and some people have contributed more than others but everyone has contributed one way or the other. So for you to come out and say that you are the only one doing all the work and others are just doing nothing and some how you are the CEO of this organization is just beyond my imagination. May be it's time you wake up and smell the coffee.
