Haha, luckily it wasn't independence day for him, since using a windows XP machine (I would presume) would cause a destruction of an alien mothership, and besides, how can you upload a virus to a ship the size of Jupiter in literally 60 seconds? You would need quantum-core infinite RAM with turbo powered processors, enough to power the sun.

I love them both.. i get hiped up 2 wweeks before macworld and just go nuts and just sit on the computer and get all the information and rumors about them i love it!!!:apple::apple:

I'm quite lucky because I'm normally in university til 6PM (UK time), and MacWorld is 5PM (UK time), but this week, I finish at 4PM so I will be glued to my computer for the updates via here, and then go out for dinner, and then when I come back, the keynote video should be available on Apple.com

I wonder if we're finishing early because my lecturer is as excited as we are... maybe he's a secret Mac fan

so how could that be achieved? you think automator can do such a thing?


I'm just a designer, this is the wrong forum for this question although it's been helpful in defining what it is you're trying to achieve. I would create a new thread in the OS X or perhaps the App forum that's specifically to do with the scripting needed to parse your text file and produce new files based on those entries. Once you've got a bunch of files with the correct names that Photoshop can open and batch process to the required format, the rest is a cakewalk.

PDFs might be valuable in the process because you can natively produce them within OS X from text files and then also open them with Photoshop to convert them to what you need.

I read that you have to go to sound in system preferences and change the output to tv once you hook the cord up. Can you confirm that works?

Yeah, that is what my sister did. And that worked for her. It wasn't the Monoprice cable, but one she got at the Apple Store, but I think all those cables will work if you set the audio in the System Preferences.

I have one and it's protected my phone several times when I've dropped it. I'm not sure how much "lighter" it is than the slider though, since I don't think the slider is particularly that heavy...

yeah i ran across that review when searching. it's only slightly faster though, and a little harder to overclock. but i bet it would be good at folding. i wonder if many people are using them?

They do. That's why we had to send some DV decks back to Sony, as they were often kaputt due to the wrong order of connecting them to the computer.

Simple answer - No we can't.

Longer answer - Only you know how many games you will be wanting to install on XP, similar to the above poster, I only play one game which requires Windows, so I set mine to 40GB, which was enough for OS and the game.

One piece of advice I would give you is to partition your drive into 3, one for Mac OS, one for Windows and a third 'spare' partition. THat way if you find yourself running out of space on either Mac or Windows you can format the 'spare' partition appropriately, or even split the spare into two.

Just curious; is the error caused by a clean install of Panther(10.3), or is the error caused by the 10.3.8 update?
