Barring the obvious differences like the larger viewfinder & LCD screen which are good and the frustrating differences such as not being able to re use the batteries from the D70 along with the switch to the SD card. The pleasant surprise comes when setting down to do a post edit after shooting and seeing the improved image quality. The first thing I noticed was the greater detail in the eyes. I've uploaded two images cropped and untouched taken straight from the camera. Both were shot under similar conditions, overcast day, both in a wooded area with trees overhead and a fill flash used in both. The first image is from the D70 and the second is from the D80. This very well could be a battle of the lenses as well, 70-300mm vs the 18-200mm, both Nikkor. Regardless of which is responsible for the improvements I like what I see.

Shooting the MGM Lion LogoMan,
I am in a similar situation where Company B just filed for my extension based on approved I-140 from Company A. I have a 3 year extension thru Company A based on an approved I-140 petition from them. I hope my employer will not withdraw my I-140. FYI, I have not filed my I-485.
Now, what is the way out of your situation here? Can someone reply?
more...Slate, and Newsweek,Is postal address for e-Filed AP & EAD same, I have e-filed the EAD/AP renewal have 2 questions please respond.
1) The postal address for AP shows same as EAD renewal for e-Filed, is this correct.
2) The 2 photos is only for EAD renewal not AP, seems they will take a picture/fingerprint for AP by appointment.
Req docs, you will have to send (I-765/EAD)
1. a copy of of your I-765/EAD E-file receipt,
2. pending I-485 receipt,
3. two 2"x2" passport photograph,
4. copy of your previous EAD, both side
5. drivers license, both side
6. passport non-immigrant visa page
(even if its expired, it will serve as a federal issued photo ID).
Req docs, you will have to send (I-131/AP)
1. I-131/AP E-file receipt

If applying for Re-entry Permit, you must be fingerprinted as part of USCIS biometric services requirements. After you have filed this application, USCIS will notify you in writing of the time and location where you must go to be fingerprinted. If necessary, USCIS may also take your photograph and signature.
on Watch Newsweek: the Mr.This is a nice find....thank you.
more...newsweek logo,You should get your EAD after FP
Not true... FP depends on your local office... If they are backlogged then your FP is delayed.. So if you are from BA/NY/NJ your FP will be delayed... As far as EAD is concerned you just have to wait... Its very unpredicatible... I got my EAD 1 month AFTER I got my gc! go figure!! My wife received hers last week.. BTW I am a early June filer

Employment Letter is a part of the initial evidence. There is a memo recently saying that any missing initial evidence will result in denial of application without RFE. Try to cajole your employer and gather as much evidence as you can about being asked for $$$ for helping you file 485
well.looks like I am not going to get any offer letter until I pay them $$.
In which case, I dont need offer letter, as they will file since I will be paying $$.

What format are you saving images in? As I understand from what I've been told (I've shot with a D70, D1, and D200, but not a D100), the D100 can be quite a pain to use with compressed RAW, as it becomes very slow; are you sure the settings haven't somehow gotten changed to use RAW compression?

more...The logo of US News amp; WorldI'm getting a visa stamping date in Kolkata embassy but I'm from New Delhi. I dont want to take a chance and wait till the dates in New Delhi embassy are available. Can I schedule interview in Kolkata and later when dates become available in New Delhi change it ? I mean can I change the venue of my appointment ?
Thanks,
Ashish
I was in a similar situation last year.I had stamped my intial H1 stamps from Mumbai and Chennai. Last year in June i booked my appointment with New Delhi Embassy for stamping in Sept end when i was to be in India. i think appointments were a major issue at that point of time. Returning workers can apply for visa stamp at any consulate/embassy .

I have usually asked my HR to give me a letter covering the following details in the employment letter to avoid unnecessary questions at POE:
Name
Designation
Location
Salary
Job responsibilities/description
Employed as H1
Indication that you are out of the country for a short time and intend to come back to rejoin the company

By looking at the trend, it is taking close to 5 months for AP approval.

I am in a complicated situation...
Approved labor (PD 2003 EB2) from company A (not employed with them). Filed 140 and 485 (self as primary and wife as dependent). Ability to pay RFE on 140 and then denial on 140 and 485. Currently, appealed the decision because needed to get H1 extension and case has reopened. My wife (with company B) had her 140 approved (EB3 with PD 2006) and so after the July bulletin filed for 485 (her as primary and me as dependent) because my case seeemed a little dicy.
So we both have multiple 485's filed (although the first one since the decision is not final on 140 technically they might not have started considering the 485). Read multiple places that legally you can have only one 485 approved but could have multiple 485 pending and withdraw the other once anyone has been approved. Is this true? or you CANNOT even have two 485 pending? What is the best thing for me do do right now?
I have one question that whether you can file 2 I-485 or not?

girlfriend Mistakes - Newsweek
Newsweek calls “a landmarkis a continuation of medical benefits after you terminate your employment (voluntarily or involuntarily). It has nothing to do with immigration. The cost will be higher.
If you are out of a job on H1B for a long time, then there certainly is a legal problem unrelated to COBRA. For EAD, it does not matter.
