Two questions:
1) Is that an iPad on the table?
2) Who paid for the coffee? :D
-Kevin
3) Does Steve Jobs actually wear anything else?
I imagine him being buried in that outfit.

Take a look at the light bleeding in the lower right. I'm thinking of returning it, and getting another unit. Thought I'd post first to see if this is normal with all units.
yup, go to apple and ask for a replacement.
Sebenarnya ni resipi petangi can't comment on the USA, but in the UK the data coverage can vary substantially. The best voice network is not always the best data network. O2 for example have a good voice network in the UK, but are by far the worst for 3G coverage.
I can't see how this type of set up could work for people who rely on GPS on a daily basis, weekend travellers maybe, but not people who rely on GPS for their jobs
If you drive for work, there is a good chance you drive in the same areas, I can't see this app not caching maps.

I like the idea you have going here. I would like the saturation more realistic, but that's just me. Different framing and cropping come to mind. Maybe play off the differences in the textures and color, putting them closer and cropping or framing in tight. I may play with this idea when I can. I have nice oranges, but I need an apple. And the nice lighting setup you have.
Please excuse the PhotoShop hack of your image...:)
Dale
In the original photo I felt the black/white line was a little too high. In your crop I like the placement a little better. I can definitely see a framed print with the tight crop -- possible a gallery wrap.
Also wondering what it would look like with the orange slightly in front of and overlapping the orange a little, then the view closed in a bit more on them. Just thoughts!
Now that would be something to see - the orange in front of itself. Some sort of 4th-dimensional super orange? ;)

If you look at the data, you will see that it's broken up between MacOS and MacIntel. The data for MacOS is just PPC people, and that actually remained constant throughout the year:

while the marketshare for MacIntel has been a nice parabolic curve:

There is no way this is legal, and he is now going to have the wrath of Apple's legal department coming at him... and probably also the FBI since this is an international deal. If Foxconn sold him the parts, then they are likely violating all kinds of things with Apple.... so they would never do it legitimately. Had he designed and manufactured his OWN white panels and design, he'd be fine... but this is a young kid that doesn't have the maturity to realize he's into something that he shouldn't be and he's probably going to be paying dearly for it. His best move would be to disappear as quickly as possible.
Just for those who thing this is a hand-slap kind of thing, I worked on a project where someone leaked an industrial design on a product and the FBI arrested them and they were facing 75 years in federal prison for it. This kind of stuff can get you more years than killing someone.
laksa johor Gambar+laksaIf a cheaper laptop PC fits someone's needs then why should they spend extra on a Mac laptop PC that does the same thing?
If you need / prefer OSX then your obviously going to buy a Mac. But, why spend extra money when you don't really have to?
Sure OSX is very nice, but isn't for everyone.. just like windows. Neither is a one fit build.

Consumer Reports was clearly pageview trolling with the iPhone 4.
They rated it as their BEST smartphone, but said they wouldn't recommend it.
How does that make any sense?
Because the signal attenuation due to the design was abnormally high. 20-25dB attenuation that can be accomplished by simply touching the tip of your pinky finger on the gap or in the normal position when making calls. That is a design problem and something that should not have made it out of QC.
Overall it is a fantastic device, albeit with an antenna issue. People who only use the phone in very strong signal areas won't notice or be bothered by it. For a majority of people who live in those areas and only use the phone in those areas it isn't problematic. But you either accept what reality is or continue to delude yourself into thinking that there is no design problem with the antenna. It's a simple black and white issue.
If I was using an IOS device for my phone I'd have no problem buying an Iphone 4 because I understand its limitations going in. I wouldn't be insane enough to claim that because I had no signal issues in my daily use that it was evidence there was no attenuation problem.

I'll take my own definition over Apple's or yours. Seriously, the phone is damn good looking, but you'll take Apple's opinion over your on?
Laksa johor resepi IIWhen you are watching a YouTube video, I tend to forget where the home button is. Or when surfing the web for some time while in the dark.
And I don't literally mean glow in the dark like those cheap Halloween things, I'm talking about an actual light behind the capitative square symbol which has a sensor which turns on when there is a certain level of darkness.
I can easily envisage this happening . It would look fantastic.
Wouldn't that be so annoying in the dark, like the backlight on the keyboard of a MBP when your watching a movie?

I don't want to have to switch back to linux server admin... that's a nightmare.
More or less OSX server has always just been normal OSX with some server bits thrown in. Most of the packages are just open source unix/linux programs with a GUI on top.
You can install Apache and configure it yourself on a normal OSX install but.. I prefer the GUI rather then sort through httpd.conf in nano or vi.

I've got a question and I didn't really want to start a new topic for it. I got folding going an here (using terminal) and it's been going for a few days. I downloaded the folding tracker widget and clicked the icon on the back and it still wont recognize by user name on the site (it doesn't find any users) and I looked in terminal and I found my ID number and put that into the widget and it doesn't get any info from it. How long does it take for the site to recognize new accounts? And why the heck after like three days can I not get any info on it? I'm getting annoyed I wanna see my stats.

Kuah laksa Johor pekat sebabTurn down the brightness. The HTC Touch pro could dim the leds. It used a capacitive bottom panel with buttons underneath, similar to the way that the Magic trackpads work. Maybe the whole bezel would be capacitive and the bottom portion would have an indent and a button, where you only go home with a firm press on the panel, and the home button lights up when you run your fingers over it?
Yeah i suppose so. It would be be cool, though its like the clicking when you type on a iPhone, its great when you first get one because its so 'iPhone' but after a text or two it goes off and never comes back on
The screenshots follow in order so if you unsure what a smaller shot is of, go back until you see a full screen shot and you will understand what it belongs too.
well i hope it's not from already mac owners buying intel macs. i hope the marketshare continues to increase
Well, all I can is from my expierence, and I just ordered a MBP, and this is my first time buying a new mac.
I know a lot of *nix geeks like me are either taking a serious look at macs or have bought one. The intel change and bootcamp/virtualization possibility sealed the deal.
Is is just me, or is Pages one of the worst apps that Apple has put forth recently?
Designing a newsletter has proven to be one of the worst computing catastophes that I have had in recent years. Pages erased my work multiple times, even after I had saved it. Also, the way the program formats is terrible; Apple has caught the Word syndrome of trying to help you so much with Word processing - guessing what you want to do and doing it for you - that it makes you want to pull your hair out. I also find the interface very counter-intuitive (highly surprising for an Apple app)
Sorry for the rant, but I just lost a lot of money and time because of this half-baked program, and I have to let it out. I had high hopes for Pages and am sorely disappointed. And I thought that only Microsoft could push my buttons like this...
No. Apple has an application called Aperture. Many DSLR cameras for professional users (for example the press) use SD cards to save the picture data. HD camcorders use also SD cards to save the video data.
You obviously do not know the SD card market. Cheap and fast SD cards with a capacity of 1 GB (a CD holds 0.7 GB or 700 MB) are now available for 3 to 5 years. The reasons why most people do not use these for the data exchange are that USB flash drives are much cheaper, more robust and nearly every computer has a USB port.
Ah, so that makes sense. Since macs are used extensively by video/audio people, it would make sense that apple would provide support for this new tech, even though it hasn't been thoroughly tested yet. Apple often waits till technology's tested before it makes the leap, unless it's really sure it's a good idea (USB).
I'm hoping to see those OpenGL improvements significantly boost my Quake 1 fps on my MacBook.
I doubt a software update can magically change your crappy Intel 950 in to a worthwhile GPU.
I keep waiting for one of these updates to properly clock the MacBook Pro's GPU. Now that is ridiculous.
