I agree with rajuram. We are all tax payers. 1. The whole concept of democracy is taxation with representation. 2. People who get paid from my tax dollars are answerable to me as much as they are to anyone else. Even when cis is not forcing me to file gc, its still equally answerable to me for my tax dollars to tell me why they are not doing their jobs properly. And for that cis owes us all apology. What's wrong with that?

I just wanted to check up with local USCIS office, if they have any other options besides re-applying. When we informed USCIS they sent us the letter that the typo was attached to my case. But EAD and AP were already ordered. I am going to carry the USCIS letter and my original EAD and AP. I will have some definite direction what to do next - whether to return it or start using it.

I won't be working beyond january with the same employer. Hence I don't want to give away my EAD at this time. USCIS may take another 6 months to adjudicate if I re-apply; and I don't want to bank completely on my H1-B at this time, hence infopass. I am going to ask the officer that, if I can still use the EAD without re-applying, since typo correction is already attached to my case, anyway.

My Last name was mispelt on the 485/131/765 notices.I called USCIS and the took a note of the correct names and told that they will correct them when the officer gets my file.The names were mispelt on the EAD card as well.I was asked by the USCIS to return the card and send another application along with the card asking for the correction.

i lostmy legal in 2002 (b2). during 2003 i won gc lottery . we did al paper work till last step.my lawyer toll me dont go couse deportation. In 2005 my employer apply gc for me (em3) In April 2006 I-140 aproved.now we waiting for priority date..
My question to you .. my lottery case priority date can be use for my eb3 case?

IV members don't support illegal Immigration. Since you were illegal from 2002 to 2003 and overstayed on your B2 visa, we cannot help you here. Please contact an immigration attorney.

Just found out from USCIS customer servicer rep that the documents should be *POSTMARKED* before july 2nd. So we can still paper-file the I-907 to upgrade I-140 to premium processing as long as we mail in the paperwork before Monday.

You will only get the EAD approval(actual card), everything else you are at the lawyer's mercy.

Weird!! E-filing should be fast , instead it is slow !!!! I have some friends who e-filed before me and still pending .

Ok, I'm really confused. These photos were taken back-to-back.
And if you notice one has the dirt or whatever it is on it and the other doesn't.

I cleaned the sensor and I always clean my lenses.
So I don't understand what the deal is, sometimes it has it sometimes it don't.

Any ideas?

Thanks :) I while back I wrote an Action that produced the effect because I used to use the fade out effect a lot, but my Photoshop got screwed up somehow and I had to remove it. So I don't have that Action anymore:(

Maybe I should remake it, I don't know, I don't use the effect as much anymore. I think I could just do it by hand.

After receiving GC do we have to report to SSN to change the SSN card but with same number. Existing card says work paper required.

Any anyone knows action item required after receiving GC then please post here?

Ppl do that; but I don't think it's a compulsory thing. Maybe it's good to remove one of the last traces of being non-immigrant in US ;)

Let us form a group who are pushing to introduce Ammendment for Filling I485, AP &EAD when I140 approved/pending, eventhough Cut-off dates are not reached for EB category immigration. Please discuss here weather any work being done to introduce this ammendment with present Comprehencive Bill.

But the way its worded now, it means no benefit for people who have no master's or Ph.D from US accredited university.

And you have to have 3 year experience to top it. From the wording, it means probably before you filed you I-140, you need to have 3 years of experience in relevant field.

Even I have not yet received receipt number for the H1 application filed on 7-April-2009 by my employer in NJ USA. I was also given fedex tracking number for the application that was sent on 7-April-2009. But there is really no clue if the packet sent was really mine. So we are hopeless.

Are you still in contact with your employer about the H1 application case?

Once again thanks for the advice. Let me rephrase my question:

(a) At this point can I file for PERM processing (five months left on H1)?

(b) Case I : If labour does not get cleared within next five months,can I apply for H1 B extension?

(c) Case II : If labour gets cleared within next five months, can I apply for H1B extension?

At this point, I am loooking for extension of one year. Is there any way I can do this?

hi you waited too long to file PERM. To apply for PERM lawyer need considerable time for advertising and other stuff. I would recommend to meet a lawyer since 5 months is too short for both advertising and filing. if your PERM pending more than 365 days then you will be able to extend H1B visa. Even if you were able to file PERM there is no premium I-140 right now

Another option is to go back to china for 1 year and then coming back again on another 6 year H1B visa term(3 years at a time)

best thing is to consult your company lawyer

I am hopeful too since like you my I140 had a LUD on 7/13. I am a Dec 04 EB2 filer and have an Infopass tomorrow to know the 485 status.

I will keep it with me until you come back and for sure will return it back to you..you are not believing me..come on???:D:D:D I promise...;););) I will return it safely..

Has anybody travelled TO India with personal gold jewellery? I am not concerned about theft/security. My question is about Customs clearance at the airport. Do we need to declare it or pay customs duty?
