I request everybody to add one line in the letter for Consular processing filers as they should be allowed to get AC21 and EAD facilities now. This law came earlier only for 485 filers because CP process was fast but now due to retrogession all CP filers are waiting for Years and in the worst sitauation as 485 filers are enjoying their freedom with AC21 and EAD

I applied in NSC 485/EAD/AP on July 27th. The case was transfered to CSC. 485 Application was then transfered to TSC from CSC but EAD and AP are being processed in CSC.

According to LC, my labor got approved on Aug 9th, but we received actual paper on Sep 9th .. So lost the chance to FILE 485

DOL took more than a month TO send papers ..

There is no point in blaming IV . They are the BEST ..

It is US Govt agencies who are lazy and ineptitude.

US did not get Civil Rights in one year .. it took decades of fight ...

IV is fighting for every one ..

We can keep sending emails / call the CNN President.

I tried to contact the attorney so badly until Aug 16th, but he never responded. I was able to get hold of him only on Aug 17th. I guess he was directed by my employer so.

For how long is USCIS issuing the EAD & AP these days?

I got my EAD valid for 2 Yeays and AP valid for 1 year. It took almost 90 days for EAD to come by (from TSC)...and AP (from NSC) took about 110 days.

I applied for I-140, I-485, AP and EAD on 8/15/07. I got my EAD and the case status online got updated accordingly. But, for my other three applications I get the following errors:

I got receipt notices for all 4 applications on 10/16/07 and have double-checked my receipt notices for case # for typos.

Is anybody else in the same boat?

I don't know if my NC is cleared. Tried to find it couple of times calling over phone but always ran into unfriendly IO officers.

Got out of BEC in dec 2006, I140 cleared in Jan 2007 but then my PD became current only in June 2007. And due to laziness of my law firm, my I-485 filing did not happen in June and got dragged into July 07 mess.

I think if USCIS had initiated my Namecheck as per normal timeline (sometime around when my I-485 filed , i.e anywhere between July - Sep 2007), then yes, I think it crossed 180 days long time back.

Thats interesting to know that we even pay higher life insurances due to not having a greencard. can someone else second this from their experience. I am not aware of these hardships so if we have to say this in any media interview, we need correct information substantiated by facts.

Forgot to mention. Check those online quote sites. Each one of the companies has a disclaimer that you have to be either a citizen and a PR to qualify. Thanks.

Its better to consult Education evaluator and your attorney to get better understanding of what to be done.

Again it depends on Attorney to Attorney, some might differ.
