Funny AnimalsI love how the middle finger realistically raises slightly when the index finger is put up. :D
Nice attention to detail. :)

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by the word "slight"? Old iPods have a 1-2- second gap between tracks. Is it less than a second?
The gap is very slight and doesn't seem to be consistant. When skipping ahead to the next song in the playlist, there's about a 1/10th of a second pause. When allowing one track to play straight through to the next, it seems the gap is less than half of that to almost none, but like I said it seems to vary. There's been a couple times where I could swear there was no gap or pause, but most of the time it's perceptable in some way. For albums where a musical selection spans more than one track, I would probably link them together into one audio file/track before importing to iTunes.
I'll play with it some more though. I haven't had that much time to spend with it just yet after it took over 2 hours to fully charge and I just dumped a couple albums to it quickly to take it to the gym for a test run. Preliminary results are very positive. The size is great... The included earbuds are nothing special and their cord is a little on the short side, which may be good or bad depending on how you want to use it.

Why is the info in Omni Outliner?
Omni Outliner will let you view the file containing the strings.

Pity Isilons suck. Great for IT, bad for the end-user. They support all sorts of protocols, none of them properly.
Better tweak your kernel's delayed ack attribute or you'll be serving data at dial-up modem speeds.
Are you joking? I use a 4 node IQ12000X cluster on a daily basis over both NFS and SMB and the performance is nothing short of amazing.
Still, you don't buy Isilon for raw performance. You purchase it for data protection. They let you specify protection levels for directories and even individual files. That means the critical stuff gets extra protected, and the non-critical stuff doesn't waste 3x its weight in disk space. Pretty slick stuff if you ask me.
Also, their OS is based on FreeBSD, and I suspect they get a bit of help from Apple since their OS development seems to take a few turns now and then at the same time Apple does. ;)

funny pictures of animals. Both Sata PCI cards arrived this morning!! Just need some sata cables now :D
And my apple mouse. Its the white one with a clear outside body and white inner case where the entire body is the button and without the track ball. It matches the white apple keyboard well. I think they are both of the generation that came out with the G5 macs as they are the same as I got with my imac G5 way back when

funny pics of animals.Hi,
Ive read a lot about capturing dv avi from tape with iMovie will suck.
I already captured these files a while ago before I got my mbp.
If I load them onto the mbp and use them in iMovie and export to DVD, will it still suck?

Funny animals (Part 1)On December 12, 2012, this system is going to become self aware and kill us all. It's true, I read it on the internet.
You fail, it's 12/21/12 not 12/12/12

Should pass you up in less than 12 hours now :D
Yeah, tell me about it :(
But on the other hand, I already passed a lot of people in the meantime. To bad I can't use any of the Dell's at work, then I could have given you a run for your money. They new ones are all i7's at 2,93 GHZ with a good GPU, 8 GB of ram and SSD's. So, CPU and GPU folding possible. But we need the processing power ourselves as we're a big architectural firm and need to keep the power usage as low as we can as we're already maxed (old building and the city just can't provide us with more power).:(
Funny Animals 4depends on how much dust is in the room when you put the new one on..
Has anybody else not been able to get to ITS? I've been trying to connect, and it gives me the old "Make sure your internet connection is active and try again later" spiel. Anybody else? I'd really like to start renting movies; maybe everyone else does too, or Comcast is violating Net neutrality and not letting me load the page.
This is great. I like the addition of European blood into the Moderator folk to help with additional time zones.
Nermal might be a bit offended by that. ;)
I'd love to see Apple displace Google Maps on their iOS devices. That would be a major blow to Google and a major win for Apple and their iAd product. The more you tie maps into adverts the more personalized those adverts become. The more successful marketing campaigns. Apple can take iAds to the next level.
I've been using an A4tech wireless 2.4ghz mouse (G6-70D), and its been working fine. Now all of a sudden it's frozen, although the little dongle light still lights up when i move the mouse, even the the pointer doesnt move.
Ive rebooted but no joy. The a4tech website doesnt actually say there is a mac driver but it has been working fine for a few days, now just stopped?
Any ideas?
Al
