Email Marketing DesignTo the best of my knowledge you can not file for AOS while you are on TN . To process your green card you have to switch to your H1B from TN and start your green card as any other national i.e file for your Labor certification, I-140 and then i-485 .This process is same like any other national. All the best.
You can file for AOS from any status. The only problem will be that you cannot renew your non-immigrant visa unless it is a dual intent visa like H1B, L or O.
Since you are a Canadian citizen, I am assuming that you don't actually have to get a H1 visa stamped on your passport (I may be wrong - check with your attorney). When you enter the US, you should be able to show all your documents for H1B approval (LCA application, approved petition, etc - I don't remember the entire list) and get an I-94 with H1B status and expiry date.
As far as AOS petition is concerned, I think it is considered adandoned unless you are on a valid H1 or L status. Since you are on TN status and you will be leaving the country on TN status, your application might be considered adandoned. You will have to talk to an attorney and find out if you can travel out of the country.

Creating HTML Emails : AnWe invited our in-laws last September and it was not easy for them to get the visa in the first interview. They got denied with the reason 214(b) without verifying any Indian documents. Infact, my father-in-law was a government servant and he was still employed at the time of interview. My wife was on EAD and I was on H1-B and I was inviting my in-laws to USA.
We then asked a letter from the senate's office requesting the visa officer to issue them visa and explained that they have strong ties with family members back in India and have bank balance and property. It was surprise that nothing was asked in the second interview and they could get a 10 years multiple entry visa. This time my wife invited her parents.
In all this, we wasted time, money and were very tensed since my wife's due date was approaching and it was only a month far.
Folks,
I'd like to know if any of you invited your parents while on AOS. Last time I invited my in-laws I had H1-B et al....now we are on AOS and my wife is sponsoring her parents. We are on AOS. I do not have a job currently so I can't get an EVL and my wife has and she is inviting and the I-134 is also from her...we have EADs valid till late 2010....she had her F1 valid till Oct 2009 but she is working on dependent EAD.
So do you think there could be any potential problem.....Last time I had sponsored my in-laws but they were questioned a lot at the embassy....so now my wife will be sponsoring ...I hope there are no potential problems.
Path 2 USA do not mention anything special for EADs/AOS et al....
Thanks,
SoP

My Priority Date is:
March 16, 2001.
What can you guys tell me?
Thanks.
So your application was applied in Employment Based Green Card category and your priority date is March 16, 2001. Your I-485 is pending since 2002.
What is your current status? Were you ever out of status while your stay in US? Have you contacted your sponsoring employer or the lawyer who applied for you? I suggest you call and speak with your attorney first thing Monday morning. Did you pay full amount to this guy, I mean your attorney. If you did, too bad, its time to pay him another $2 million before he returns your phone call.
Also, if I were you, on Monday morning I would call and speak with the lovely folks on other side of the 800 number we all love chatting with. They are soo sweet, isn't it.
Many members on the forum seem to think that the priority date getting current means that its time to check the mailbox every evening to receive the GC. Guess not, I have known many folks who waited for 2-3 years even when their dates were current all that time.
But in your case, there seems to be something too awkward as the status note says that your case has been transferred to DC. Are you a diplomat of another country? Just curious.
more...Email Campaign DesignsActually the provisions in S 1932 (Sections 8001 and 8002) were dropped when the bill went to the House. The members who handled the fate of the immigration provisions in the house were Reps Conyers, Sessenbrenner and Lamars. It was argued that the Budget Reconciliation Bill (S 1932) should not include any immigration provisions as they should instead be included in future Comprehensive immigration reform. These sections which had already been passed by the Senate were dropped quietly by the 3 member panel in the final conference report. Given the rush to pass this bill among others, members of the Senate may not be aware that these provisions were dropped when they got to the house. While new legislation offers to increase the EB quotas, the provision to allow one to apply for I-485 (GC) and I-140 concurrently upon receiving Labor certification clearance even in the absence of a current visa number ( current priority date) is missing from the proposals, a key measure that would greatly alleviate the suffering of those who suffer from visa retrogression.
HTML Email DesignsIt would be great if any one's I485 got approved while their Name Check is Pending?
My I-485 got approved on Aug 7th 2008 from NSC. As far as i know my name check was pending during approval time.

He can be a sleeping partner. Not able to work or hold any position till he can able to get a H1B from that company, or get a EAD to work after filing AOS.

Email Newsletter Design:You have to use only H4. Under the last action taken rule B1/B2 is automatically invalid. Again H4 allows you to have dual intention for filing green card.

Design beautiful emailsMakes sense but a couple of my friends who traveled during the winter break and came back through ATL did not have an issue, so that was where I was coming from.
As i said you may or may not have an issue. Makes common sense to carry documents if you do get asked. I had issues when i came through IAD in Apr 2009. Things may have improved during the interim. I know of friends of mine who had no issues on AP and i also know of a GC Holder who got stuck in immigration for 5 hours. I guess it just depends on what kind of person is the POE officer in the secondary inspection room

Creative amp; Design | EmailHello experts,
My situation:
1) H1- I have completed 6 years on H1 in Oct 2010.Out of six years,I stayed out of US for more than 1.5 years.
2) EAD- I had ead since 2007 but started using it since Oct 2010 for first emplyer.
Now using ead for working with the present (second) employer as a permanent employee.
3) AP- getting AP regularly since 2007.Used AP twice in 2010 and once in 2011.Initially my H1 emplyer asked me to use it,since I was not on project.
In 2011, I used it,since my H1 was also expired.
4) I-485 - filed in July 2007 only for myself on EB3( my family didn't able to come to US during that period)
PD July 2006
Earlier my family was situated in India and had H4, so they were able to travel.Since kids are studying ,they prefered to stay there for education.
Now I am in difficult situation, since if family decides to come to US after the education, they won't be able to travel , since they lost their dependent status.
Using travel visa won't be helpful for longer stay.
My previous H1 emplyer told me that the family greencard applications could be filed once the PD becomes current.Based on present dates,it is going to take 5-6 years.
Options: Is it possible to convert from ead to H1?[I want to use H1 only for the family to maintain their H4 status. With H4, they could be able to travel as per the situation.
Since I am working as a permanent employee, it will be easy to renew/maintain H1.
Is it possible to convert ead to H1? What could be the consequences?
Please advice.
Thanks
You can switch back to a H-1 and have an EAD in parallel. In fact it is a safer bet and gives you the flexibility to travel easily. I would not recommend you use the EAD unless you have to and stay on H as long as possible. But irrespective of whether you use your EAD or not, do not let it expire and dont forget to renew it. Just keep your options open.

I have registered on USCIS website for I-485, AP and EAD. When I logged on today I saw last updated date modified to 11/25/2007.
Email notification for all the registerd cases is turned on. I did not receive any email notification for the updates
Just wondering if some one else in the same boat not receiving emails.
I have given my hotmail email ID, if that matters ?
Any Idea ...

I have a Tamron 90mm macro for my D1, and despite the D1's autofocus strength, AF is still as useless as ever for macro (with the Sigma lenses that have HSM, AF might become somewhat useful in certain limited situations at less-than-lifesize magnification). If I could afford it, I would be happier with a longer lens (maybe the 150mm Sigma as a nice compromise) for most of my macro photography - including butterflies, insects, and plant life in the field.
Bear in mind that if you do get the Nikon 200mm f/4 (or the Sigma 180mm f/3.5 HSM macro - HSM being equivalent to AF-S), you'll probably want to keep the 60mm for situations where you don't want so much telephoto compression (flowers being a prime example).
Edit: ah, I see you're using a D2X. Then, maybe you could get some use out of the autofocus for chasing insects in flight. With a D70 (which is what I assumed that you had at first), you couldn't expect so much luck. ;)
