If you just type "cd New" then press Tab, it'll autocomplete the rest of the command for you.

Arse to that.

There will be plenty of stock to go round, so no idiot e-Bay price inflation.

Actually I'm hearing the black one will be extremely limited. The normal white one in quantity to quickly follow.

Unfortunately, not exactly an exciting update.

2GB ram on the MBA is rubbish!

recs by date added is now available.

Note... recs weren't timestamped until recently... so your first batch of recs, if dont before I started timestamping them may not be in any particular order.

The Macbook is the low end Mac laptop. Its great for productivity, etc. However I would suggest getting a high end imac 27" with the 1GB ATI video chip for gaming. I don't do much gaming anymore, but its the video card, or video chip that makes most of the difference when it comes to good graphics.

I know that the Mac Books do not do well with heavy graphics, and were never meant to be gaming machines. Laptops in general were never really meant for gaming as is. The mac Book pro may be a better choice as far as laptops go.

If you run windows through Boot Camp, you will have no problems that you wouldn't experience on any windows machine. Like crashing, freezing and needing to shut down and reboot from sleep, viruses that never stop coming, and all the other wonderful things that go with Windows.

If you want great gaming experiences go buy a PS3, there set up just for that.

Ok... this crap HP i have only has 256 ram. I have a few extra sticks of 256 lying around, but i have no way of knowing what type they are. Is there any harm in just sticking them in to see if they will work?
Not that I can recall - with the new RAM, your PC will either boot or it won't, or it will freeze up constantly or it won't. There's a lot of operational consequences to putting in incompatible RAM, but AFAIK none that would destroy your system or MoBo.

Looks like a Dragonfly Larva (http://clean-water.uwex.edu/pubs/clipart/images/CRITTER/large/DragonflyLarva.jpg) to me. :)

Hi
You've Got Private Messages!

Ugh, I just bought CleanMyMac. Could you elaborate more why these products are bad to use? Thanks

I've also noticed that CleanMyMac sometimes deletes important system files which can lead to problems down the road. Id just consider it a waste of $15 or 30 if you paid for a lifetime license :o and just never use it.

Skype is CPU intensive, this causes the MBA to work harder and the fans to spin to keep things cool. Why every week do we have threads on this? The computer hardware is doing what it is supposed to do. Its like saying "I pushed the "high" button on my blender and now the blender is going faster and getting louder".

I don't mean to sound mean or snippy here its not my intent its just that we have multiple threads like this every day.

If you have the bootcamp utility installed, you should be able to start OS X from there.

Great post. This worked just fine for downgrading my iPod Touch 4g from 4.2.1 to 4.1. You probably should mention that the person needs to edit their hosts file or else it will fail when verifying the restore with iTunes.

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and locate hosts file.
Open this hosts file in Notepad and add this "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com".

I would of added Mac instructions but unfortunately iReb isn't available for Mac yet.

OK, I just reset it and put all my apps back on, only this time it is NOT jailbroken. It is doing the same thing.

You can't just assume that jailbreaking is the cause.

Has anybody ever seen this problem before?

This started happening around Thursday. The touch screen do not response anymore. Hardware button works. Rotational sensor works. A hard reset (home+power for 10 seconds) sometimes work.

Being a tech person, I systematically deleted apps that I installed to that date, but that was not the problem.

I wonder if it is related to network -- i.e. if it is access the wireless network (checking mail, push notification etc) and gets locked up.

Any one else starting to having this problem?

P.K.

You're almost making it sound like you're actually planning to lose your phone.

. The glass claiming to be strong is weak sauce and the only good things on the phone are the cameras and screen.*
Am I the only one who feels this way?

It harder glass - and it is harder to scratch. But harder objects don't necessarily resist shattering better.

Yes, I have jailbroken many iOS devices. I guess I'll move them all to their own folder and see what happens. Thanks for the help guys.

I didn't mean to say that new tool will allow him to downgrade without SHSHs, I meant to say that he is stuck until the new tool is release that can Jailbreak 4.3 and he can get all his stuff back. ;)

Actually, if OP doesn't mind a tethered jailbreak, there are tools available to jailbreak 4.3 right now.

power support makes by far the best dry install protectors out there. I too don't like wet install kits, and all other dry installs besides power support are less sturdy...often having tears in the protector before you even install it

Or just look at the top of the front page - it'll tell you in hours.

I would love to start using spotify, if you happen to have an invite left, it would be really cool if you could send it to me!

Thanks a million!

Would this work?

Not 100% sure what you're looking for. Are you looking to extract the values from the picker or overlay the labels.

I want that:
if value in the first component is cars, the second component is mustang the fisrst label must show "1970" and the second label must show "v8"

thanx
