We live in NJ and my husband was not ready to take a day off initially, I was going to come with friends and now after bugging him for days together I finally showed him this message about people flying in from CA and well he is motivated to come, he plans to work remotely on the 17th the lobby day, we are bringing some friends visiting from India too;)

By the way, AILA reports the bill numbers for the Dream Act as follows (the bills were introduced in both house and senate)...S. 774 and H.R. 1275...it doesn't mention anything about being below 30, z visas, or being undocumented...!!!

The bill text says there is NO fee and the applications need to be processed expedited.

So once this bill passes, we can just forget about legal immigration applications for 2 ~3 years, until all illeagul and UNDOCUMENTED applications are processed.

This is going to effect all legal immigrant community, think about waiting for AP, EAD, H1B application and guess people might have to suffer loosing jobs while waiting for these applications processed.

Hope they don't pass this bill and kick us back by 5 Years.

I don't see a relation between Obama saying ..... Cisco, Intel, Ebay started by Immigrants and DREAM. Those Immigrants he is referring to are from India/China and DREAM are from Mexico.

Those whose cases have transferred back to NSC have not received the FP notices. I would like to know if your case was transferred back to NSC.

My case was transferred from NSC to CSC, and then to TSC. I guess its because my I-140 was approved by TSC. I got my FP notices from TSC.

i've just checked. As of now
300 faxes sent (fax # 10)
267 faxes sent (fax # 11)

Folks, don't beat ur head on this.
OP - as long as you followed all laws and everything is perfect with you, don't worry.

Almost all the AC21 denials that I am aware of have been successfully reversed if you think that is the case.

Do not expect any valuble information from USCIS when your date is not current.

They can give the following if you go for infopass : name check issues, address change issues, FP issues, (if u r lucky they might tell u that it is preadjudicated) etc...

As an alternate you may want to contact the Ombudsman and explain in detail about your thoughts on this cryptic letter and request for "proper information"

As another alternative - contact your law maker. Go to your congressman's office and show the cryptic letter. Tell them you are concerned, you have family and followed all rules properly and curious to know if there is anything wrong that is going on that you might not be aware of and would like to correct it.

A proper response will give you peace of mind.

You are the first guy whose case was transferred to CSC and you got the FP notices. Can you shed more light as many pople, like me, are stuck with no FP notices and we all had Receipts/EAD/AP from CSC...And now the files are back to either NSC or TSC...

I presume that ROW would be significantly impacted by this as India & China would not benefit a lot from it now because of PDs being badly retrogressed. I'm afraid that this has the potential of exhausting EB3-ROW row numbers for the rest of the year. Am I wrong to assume this?


I am trying to figure out the impact of this ruling on the current usage of visa numbers.

I am from ROW so I would like to see how many more from ROW would demand visa numbers due to this new ruling.

Obviously this is important to India and China as well because the only way these two categories would get more visa numbers is from ROW overflow this year as these categories have used up most of their visa numvers for the year.

I still don't understand why is EB-2 not moving forward especially that EB-1 is current.

Looks like for the ROW the EB3 moved by a year. In march it was for August 2002 and in April it is for August 2003. That good for some folks who are rest of world....like me. Still 2 years away for me......

I have been in this country for almost 10 years and I have never felt more stressed about these status issues than I did today. I even stopped working from this afternoon reading forums for similar cases, finding info here and there etc. :(

This is confusing..I have a similar situation(not paid for 2 weeks)..

When i talked to my lawyer she said that employement verification is done in I-140 and since that is approved I dont need to worry abt it for 485??

Has anyone thought of the people who missed the august 17 deadline because the labor was not cleared within time. Because of no mistake from ourside, we have to suffer. What a screwed up legal situation ?

As of now PD is apr 2001, I dont know when will it move ?

I received a soft lud on my H1B approved in Nov 2007. All other cases do not have any LUD. I guess it is just the system touching these records as routine maintainence.

but I got soft LUD's on all my cases after using AC21.

Here two things happened
1. applied for h1B transfer using approved I 140
2. sent AC21 letter

so don't know what trigerred the soft LUD's

Expedite request approved yesterday. Hopeful.....

That I heard too!! GCs were distributed at Monument but I was late as I could only join at Captol Hill :p so got only FP notice.

I'm waiting for next Rally to get my GC ... :D

Did you get it in the rally? I overheard a rumor that they were being distributed. :D
