I did send the ITIN application and tax return documents together. I have called IRS multiple times, but they could not confirm anything about the status of ITIN processing. All they say is it is their peak time and I should wait up to 8 weeks to see if I get the ITIN letter :mad:. I have no idea what to do in case I don't get the ITIN letter within that timeframe :confused:.

You dont have anything to worry about. If you dont get the ITIN, just amend your tax return with new ITIN application later.

Center is NSC. They recieved the Application on june 19th

Can ammendments be made to the bill in the 180 day waiting period? It was mentioned here before that ammendments can be made during that period.

As long as H1B is the underlying petition for your GC application H1 extension does not negate your AP status. You have dual travel papers.

Caution - Please talk to lawyer as there is some stuff around abandoning your petition is you go out of country before approval...

I have had a valid H1 and AP for a while now and travelled on AP without issues.

my lawyer sent mine on july 27 (normal no premium) and on october 10 i got an email from USCIS that my application is approved, yesterday got email from lawyer that he received the approval.

Your might be on the way, i would suggest wait for few more days, if lucky might save 1000$.

Namecheck is done on everyone applying for any US visa at consulate. There is a database which i think called a lookout system and if you get a hit than you will go through further checks. It happened in 2004 and she has to pay $85 fee give full fingerprints at Delhi consulate and took about 6 weeks to get cleared.

How come they are doing namechecks on women? That is supposed to only for male from 17-45 years of age? Can you please clarify? what is namecheck or TechnologyAlertList (this is the only check they can likely do on women as per my understaning).

All EB priority dates for July 2007 is current. Hence everyone can go for concurrent filing right away.

The scenario I have given explains how to maintain the status after getting permanent residency from both countries, so that you are eligible to apply for citizenship in both countries.

But here is the catch. Some Canadian immigration officers might not consider the commuting days towards the day count for citizenship. It solely depends on the discretion of the officer during Canadian citizenship interview.

This is under ideal conditions. How many 485 has complications and how many are not arranged properly. They have to consider everything. Just to get the papers right for review might take several hours. In between, they may be called for meeting, smoke break, tea break. So give them some slack. Two applications per day is good enough work for an employee considering each app has one or two dependends.

Last but not least, the ex-director or USCIS is an anti-immigrant and was member of an active anti-immigrant group. Now you go and figure how USCIS will work. Even if numbersusa is good enough to take 10% of USCIS into their org, we are screwd and they are doing it already.
