Yay! I've been waiting for a while to purchase an iMac. I'm trading in my MBP for an iMac. I need the processing horsepower and display size (27") more than I need a portable computer these days, especially since I have an iPad and an old first gen black MacBook that will do in a pinch.

I love how "gays" freak out when non-homosexual people do something. But yet when "gays" want to do something extreme it's because we don't accept them, so when they get in trouble it's a huge ordeal.

To me this is like the people that don't support war. If a veteran was killed in action and a funeral is happening they can picket the funeral all day long (talk about bull ****!) But yet if we don't let them picket they freak out scream free rights free rights. Well guess what those veterans (me included since I serve) gave them that freedom to stand there in picket.

Gays are the same way. I have no issue with gays, I don't agree with it but if your gay, be gay. Just don't expect the world to conform to your way of life, especially a country (United States) founded on Christianity. If anything go to a foreign country and complain then see how bad it really is to come out, unless it's Amsterdam, Iraq or Afghan they'll love your butt over there.

And as others above me have said...I would suggest googling separation between Church and State. It's kind of important to the history of our country. And I do thank you for being a veteran, but do you have any idea what you were fighting for?

Regarding the launchpad... I can't remove applications anymore...
When I click "option" the icons get to "shake" but there is not X sign to click to delete the app... they just wiggle and can't be deleted.
Any of you the same?

Also very difficult to move them around...

In my experience launchpad was working better on preview 1!

Yea it's a little buggy right now. You can delete apps the same as as before with some added frustration.

1. Press and hold, CMD+OPT+CTRL (so they all wiggle)
2. Next press and hold one app until they stop wiggling.
3. Now click the apps you want once to delete them.
4. Make sure you hold those 3 keys throughout all steps.

The only thing I haven't figured out yet is adding apps manually. When I drag them to the LaunchPad icon, nothing happens.

All I want for MWSF is a new keyboard, because it's time we had some media buttons. And a paint app so that I don't have to buy Photoshop if I want to doodle something.

Lunja, people actually use media buttons? :eek: I wonder, do other people here want this? I specifically don't want it. I like the way my wireless kb looks now.

Anyway, the paint program thing is one that thousands of switchers comment on. I do rather agree that there's no good simple answer to that one. Not that Apple shouldn't just bundle something simple, but apparently one MR member went so far as to write the thing himself (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=159877&highlight=posterpaint)! :eek: :D

You have a magnificent room. When can I move in please?! This has tastefully brought the feeling of Patrick Dempsey's "Can't Buy Me Love", Molly Ringwall's "Sixteen Candles" (the soft palette colours), and countless 80/90's teen movies all rolled up into one.

I'm a guy and nowhere even close to effeminate (I think that is the word I'm after) - but I seriously LOVE the window with the pillows. You cannot immagine how much I wanted that as a kid in grade school JUST to play my Alto, Bass, and Tenor Saxophones for practice. But that setup is for girls - I'd do it up so differently.

So we are still not back upto Q1 2000 numbers? :eek:
Except of course that Q1 is the Christmas quarter, not April to June :rolleyes:

I ordered one of these from Ashopone last week (grey color). Does the gel case slide in and out of a pocket easily? The thing I hate about the silicone cases I have is that they are really sticking going in and out of pockets.
