I don't really see why anyone thinks that Apple is not taking responsibility what's going on with the iPhone 4. They are saying that this signal attenuation is a problem, but that's it's not uncommon in regards to cell phones and that other reputable companies make devices with similar problems. This, in my opinion is great PR. They are bringing the topic down to a relatable level where most people can see that it's not because they don't care about the their products anymore or are not worried about maintaining their good image. Does anyone seriously believe they rushed this out just to get some more money without properly testing it? I have spent a lot of time with the new iPhone and have noticed that it performs incredibly well and that the supposed "signal attenuation" issue people blew out of proportion is something I have to go out of my way to achieve. Sure I might accidentally do it a few times in the phones life time, but I already had minor hiccups with the 3GS that didn't make the phone worthless. Honestly, if the phone bothers anyone that much, just get that free bumper. And I believe Apple is offering a money back option for returning the phone.

I had suggested to one of your moderators that MR should disable the tagging feature in the PRSI. I think you should disable this up/down voting thing as well.

You are asking teenagers to get involved in a fight and try to break it up.
Not really something you expect the average person of the street to do why should teenagers working and McDonalds be any different.
Heck most of the time betting/ fights are over before the brain finishes processing "Is that really happening?" followed by "Should I do anything?" Most of the time they get stuck in an endless loop of not sure what to do and the fight or flight responses takes over.

While the people doing the beating deserve to rot in jail at the same time I would not expect the employees to do anything other than really call the cops. This is one would you expect a person of the street to do something other than really call the cops and it is still over by the time the above loop is completed.

I had a few friends watching the football game (where we saw the ad) and half of them thought it was an iphone commercial because they were only half paying attention and heard "there's a map for that".

Oh please don't be so smart. What you say means to lose the pixel density of Retina Display. Would you want that?

Jobs indicated that the "magic number" for a retina display was around 300 dpi. A 640x960 3.7" display would still be greater than 300 dpi, so they'd likely still use the marketing term and we, the users, likely wouldn't notice the difference.

A slight reduction in pixel density doesn't mean the display suddenly becomes garbage.

No, guys, this is simply because of the effect of perspective. Parallel lines draw towards a single point at infinity, so the two parallel top and bottom edges of the phone are not parallel on the photo, this is normal!

However, that doesn't mean the image isn't fake. Any 3D program will produce a correct rendering of perspective, that isn't the problem.

Why do these images always come in such low quality? I imagine someone with enough interest in new technology, having photographed a claimed future iPhone back, owns a decent camera that doesn't produce images of such bad quality! It's easy to fake an image if the quality is deliberately made worse, preventing us from seeing important details...

I don't know whether this is fake or not, I can't tell just by the photos, but it could easily be fake. Apple got away with not putting a plastic "antenna patch" on the WiFi-only iPad, but they're not doing that for the 3G iPad.

Madden Football for 3DS. Not a football fan, at all... and the only football game I've ever purchased was NFL Blitz. But, a buddy of mine was gonna trade it in, and so he said I could just have it for $15. Figured the launch lineup isn't great, anyway... so even if I only get four or five hours of play from it, I'll get my money's worth.
