Now that we've upgraded the forum software (see announcement), we have the ability to define thread prefixes, which appear in front of a thread name in the forum display, or at the top of the page in a thread display.
Prefixes help classify threads within a forum. Unlike tags, they are selected from a pre-defined list.
Here's how thread prefixes work:

Correct, pay a one time fee of $20 or $25 for My-Wi on demand. My-Wi on demand automatically creates a wifi hotspot when necessary so you don't have to constantly have to switch on and off. By far one of the best reasons to jailbreak an iDevice.
Thanks now i just need to choose between AT&T and Verizon.

For programs like MS Access, I can understand the need for VPC, but what graphics app is absolutely necessary on a PC? There must be a Mac equivalent. Oh, and VPC runs decently for everything other than graphics related apps (Photoshop or games).
two ponytail holders and aWhen I buy RAM for my Macs, I buy Crucial, cheap, reliable and high-quality. Apple uses mostly cheap Korean brand 'Hynix' memory modules in their Macs and they are quite unreliable. Can't speak for OWC though...

I used to love playing crystal quest on my MacPortable.
I'm sure you are running some AfterDark screen savers as well.
Does anyone remember the "Barney Blaster" screen module?
I was NOT allowed to play that in front of my young nieces/nephews back then.

more...bows and ponytail holdersWell all, after many months of tryign to figure out what computer to get I finally got myself a new 17incher. First, thanks to all those who helped me figure out what to do. Secondly I'd like to say that when I was driving the 60 miles hoem from the apple store wiating to open up the computer I was a little nervous that i might have gotten one that is too large for me, and I should have stuck with the 15 incher. Well now I've had the computer home fora few hours, and must say... I absolutely positively made the right choice size wise. This computer is somethign I need for traveling, so its small form make it an easy companion for trips, and I don't need it on a plane so much, so that's fine. Right now I'm playing puzzle pirates writing this and watchign a movie n small mode, and can see most everything. For anyone trying to decide between a 15 ich and a 17 inch, relaly the real estate space on the 17 inch is to die for. I didn't think it'd matter that much to me, but coming from an old 15inch apple flat panle to this, well there's just no comparison. Everything is so nice and open, not cramped at all. Also I'd liek to say that this screen is gorgeous, and whiel I haven't watched a movie on full screen mode, I can't wait to see how it does. I suppose that's all i have for now. Feel free to ask me questions, as I'd love to answer them. I'm so incredibly happy with my computer right now that I don't wanna go to sleep, and would rather tinker around with it all night. Anyway like i said, if you've got questions jsut ask.
ponytail holdersI wonder why some routers block this kind of connection...Do you know what field should I check to see if there's a way to allow this?
You're thinking about it in the wrong way. The router isn't actually blocking that if it doesn't work, it just doesn't take extra measures to route the traffic that unnatural way.
Why would you need it to behave like that anyway?

handmade ponytail holders,i dont find importing that slow in LR. Do you use the actual LR import function? I normally just use the finder to access my memory cards and copy them over to the folder i want them in on my HDD and then I just tell LR to sync my working/imported folder in the Pictures folder and its no more than a couple seconds.

The "HasShadow property is obsolete" message is harmless. It's there to tell whoever wrote the program that's generating the message to update their code to conform to Apple's guidelines.
EDIT: I happen to know that ATY is ATI's internal code for their graphics cards. Perhaps the graphics card in your iBook is dying.

awesome! thanks.
I knew there had to be a way and I was at my wit's end b/c I couldn't make it work.
I do appreciate it and I'll make sure to credit you in helping me when I explain to the client. As much as I wanted to do it myself, I just had to ask b/c this photo deserves to be fixed properly :)
Glad to help!
I'd so take one of those over an iPad, any day. :)
Me too. Those machines were really awesome - active matrix displays were a big, big deal back then.

PS-In a two week trip to Italy last summer, I was delayed by TWO transport labor strikes...according to locals, this happens regularly. You might wonder how they get stuff done if this happens so often. The short answer is that they don't.
A friend told me the same thing happened in France when they were waiting at the Louvre Muesuem. They asked someone working there why the line was so long. The worker responded causally that the workers were deciding on whether to strike.
This Business 2.0 article talks about how the docks currently operate without even bar-code technology we have in supermarkets:
http://www.business2.com/articles/web/0,1653,44247,FF.html
It's quite ridiculous that the unions are obstructing the implementation of technology. A new scanning system, a better supply chain, and automated cranes might cost a few jobs here and there, but it's an unnecessary inconvenience to many. Should we smash up cars to bring back the jobs of those horse and buggy drivers?
