charlize theron monster. andTo use on other devices requires you to have to go through a lot of unnecessary and time consuming hoops.
DRM should be unified - one DRM standard for ALL devices.
While I agree with that (unified DRM), no jumps are required to use the songs on a Windows or OS X computer nor an audio CD player.

You're actually breaking the law by knowingly paying less. Especially breaking the law by acknowledging it online.
Smart.... And honest... Congrats

Apple's iTunes Music Store has gone down and has been replaced with a black screen with the simple words:
It's Showtime
The iTunes Store is being updated
Apple is widely expected to deliver an iTunes Movie service today at their media event.
Glamour: Charlize Theron oozesSorry, but Apple released Aperture BEFORE Adobe did the same with its app...so it's easier to have a clone of Apple's app, not the opposite...
Right, a product in development since 2002 (http://photoshopnews.com/2006/01/09/the-shadowlandlightroom-development-story/) was a copy of a product released in 2005

I agree they are idiots and I already stated they should call the cops.
OP, I clicked on the article and the title is different from this thread. I do agree that the employees on duty at McDonald's be held responsible in the beating of a trans woman.
I know. Sloppy on my part, but I had to shorten the title. It would not fit.
Charlize TheronI don't think there are many out there who think all software should be free. I think these OSS advocates just want as much free stuff as possible, for many reasons.
People want OSS because it spurs innovation. Keep in mind that OS X is built on OSS, and that's one of the reasons it's more secure and more powerful than windows.
That's not to mention the fact that Apple has taken OS X from infancy to the mature OS that it is today at a record pace. This is, in no small part, due to the FREE code they're "stealing."
Apple doesn't sell operating systems for profit, they sell HARDWARE. These people over at OSx86 are trying to create a product that doesn't really exist: OS X on BIOS hardware.
That's just rationalization and obfuscation. Apple is not using anything outside of licensing stipulations. The GUI belongs to Apple. They are not giving OSx86 a license to Aqua thus it is theft.
That fact just can't be gotten around.
And to all those who seem to believe that Apple just has to open OSX up to run on any hardware or they will be doomed, you are ignoring history.
Apple wen't down the road of the clones and it damn near put them out of business. It would be sheer stupidity to go down that road again and expect a different result.
If Apple opens OSX to any hardware, just how will they compete? They could not compete against the cloners because they were smaller and could adapt new hardware alot more quickly.
Apple would quickly see their hardware sales dry up, those sales lost to the Dells, Acers, HP, and the whole litanany of bargin basement hardware assemblers.
If you really think Apple can't survive unless they open up OSX, explain how they would compete and win, don't just make a broad unsubstantiated demand that they open it up.
And who cares about marketshare anyway? 80% of the market is made up of almost zero margin hardware sales, how much of that does Apple really want.
/end rant
Charlize Theron won a lot ofYou'd have thought Apple could upload the new stuff to different servers then just switch them at the right time, are they trying to hype this up further!:p

Screen is clearly faked one way or another.
The Internet is an easy mark.
Well then you'll be able to provide specific points as to why it's faked then, no?

My only question is:
If there was a study that was conducted some time back [more than 2 months back] and got Apple to investigate the issue seriously, why did Apple wait for another study OR another media non-sense to acknowledge the bugs and report to the consumers?
Why did Apple not rectify the problem before? Did Apple already knew about these features or are they simply getting with this crap by calling them "bugs"?
To be honest, this is probably the first time I'm feeling that Apple was trying to play with the consumers privacy and trust. I think Apple just fooled us.

I think it must be a prototype. I won't get too excited though.
Charlize Theron won an OscarAre you truly anti-gun or have you just not been exposed to them so that you understand how fun it is:
1) Use a shotgun to shoot clay targets;
2) Shoot a rifle, pistol or revolver and realize how much fun it is to shoot a gun and hit your paper target, bowling pin or tin can;
funny how here in austria with it's conscription service one can easily see how the majority of 18 year olds turn from pro gun to anti gun within 6 months
after being grouped together with a whole age group across intelligence levels to handle guns, one simply can not take a pro gun stance
sinners | Charlize TheronWhere would you have MacRumors put it? Why do you think of others peeing their pants?
How about not even putting it up on the site? My question was why do they have to have a new article for every time someone says that?
As for peeing pants, ok, maybe people aren't peeing their pants. But obviously people care enough to post these this rumor every time another site posts the rumor. I'm just tired of seeing dozens of new articles about this place or that place saying "iPhone on Verizon after Christmas!" Ok, I get it! People expect a Verizon iPhone. Get over it. This is kinda like the Beatles on iTunes, or people talking for months that Michael Jackson died, etc.
Anyone know a good news site that says what has happened and then move on to the next news item? If this is all that MacRumors is going to post, I think it may be time to say goodbye to MacRumors. Just tired of seeing the same rumors repeated over & over again.
Charlize Theron the AcademyThere is absolutely no, no, no way that Intel did not enter a contractual agreement with Apple that explicitly prohibits or deters Apple from using AMD's competitive products. Intel and Apple's partnership - not the traditional buyer-seller - extends into R&D and other considerable investments. Additionally, Apple is too small of a company to be able to leverage their volume in a way that would free them from such an agreement. Bottom line? We won't see an AMD in Apple for another 2-3 years, if it were to happen at all.

So is this meant to be an ad for the iPad 2 or the future generations? All it does is make me more excited for upcoming models, not the iPad 2 itself. I don't doubt that it will be effective though.I think it's an ad for iPad. iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad that comes next. All of them. As a platform. "It's just getting started."
Charlize Theronwell after moving, i finally have my computers setup again. i just got internet access today, but it is looking terribly slow. i just started folding with 4 GPUs for right now. i'll see how this goes before i start with the big units
Aileen Wuornos (CharlizeYea, Rust was just as bad, same with Shipment in COD4. Those types of small maps are fun, like once every 50 games or so, just to break the flow a little, and run and gun. And I don't really have a problem with Nuketown itself, per se, but when you have totally abysmal spawns, it just sucks. If the spawns were better, my view of many maps would be much more favorable. I'm looking at you Array and Summit
I liked Rust because it was a small open map. When they made Rust be a rare map, it made it really enjoyable. It also exposed the hardcore noobs because if you camped on Rust, you are by far the biggest noob of them all( especially on the top of the tower thingy). :D
In MW2, I got into knifing( commando pro+marathon+ light weight+ light weaponry+tactical knife). Terminal and Rust were my favorite maps to go knife on. I hated Afgan and Estate( I would snipe on those maps).
Charlize Theron. Larger imageI remember a girl/woman submitting such an app to Apple.
It was rejected on the grounds:
'Not required => redundant'.
I see something changing now.
That is the very first thing I thought of. I remember that rejection and how ridiculous it was for 2 reasons.
1: She was trying to promote Apple's iAds! How does it hurt Apple?
2: Has Apple seen all the apps that could easily be called "not required" or "redundant"?
any chance of the MBP being updated!?

Sheesh, what a BORING update. Who cares about the shade of the buttons in the System Preferences? They're still using this same boring GREY that they've been using since Panther (minus the brushed steel). How boring is grey? I hate to say it, but Windows 7 with their translucent plastic is TEN TIMES more attractive than Mac OSX.
Apple used to make visually interesting computers. Now it's all this boring industrial design.
What's next? Going back to BEIGE?

To stay ahead of the 6 in 10.6. When the XBOX 2 was released, the rumor was that it was called the 360, as to put it on equal naming as the Playstation 3. Microsoft did not want to be '2' and them '3', so they added a number that started with 3.
And at the time the Wii was known as the Revolution, which is 360 degrees. So they tackled the PS3 with the 3, and the "Revolution" with 360. Kind of funny.
Anyways, I really hope they bring back the sliders. They are/were one of my favorite parts of Lion! It was funny to press a button while holding shift to see it move very slllllooooowwwwllly!
Stoid and Links: Is there a spec sheet enclosed with your new displays? Do they reflect the updated specs? I'm thinking of getting a 23" myself (directly from a local Apple Store), but I'd want to check the serial # (if possible) before I commit.
Thanks,
Russell
Yes and no.
The spec sheet avoids any mention of brightness or contrast ratio.
Guess Apple doesn't want to be bothered printing a new manual every time the panel manufacturer does an update.
Does come with a nice cloth for cleaning the screen though.
I would make sure you serial number is in the 2A62XXXXXXX range.
2A7XXXXXXXX would be later if they are at that number yet.

I love it. This is similar to the house I'd build if I had his money. I don't get the appeal of a 40 room palace. If I wouldn't use it, I don't want it. This is simple, elegant, and spacious enough for ample comfort.
Now hopefully these pretty town bureaucrats approve this in short order and then get back to their usual important functions, like telling people what colors they can paint their mailboxes.
